Round 6 of The Sunday Soul Sessions at The Three Cocks, Lower Street, Kettering, Northants, NN16 8DJ. ....Parking in town centre or just down the hill from the pub.

Free entry but by all means stick a quid or two in the air ambulance pot on the bar if you'd like to.

First Sunday each month from 7-11pm, great ales and separate room behind the main bar area is perfect for this kind of night and some amazing soul played this last few months.

As before, get there early with some records / CD's if you fancy sharing a few of your current faves or forgotten things in one of the four half hour spots. First come first served and all that.

Links here to see a bit of what's been enjoyed there so far and thanks to everyone who's been so far:

Hope to see you there. Gouch & Steve

Really missed the last one due to work commitments next day. (My first bail out BTW!)

Judging by the playlists from that one, the commitment to playing class opposed to value remains superb!

Will be there for this one for sure.

Melly - cosy it is; and a rare gem where you can hear everything from early 'sixties R&B to brand new Soul and everything inbetween!

Almost time for another Sunday Soul Session and can't wait....not wanting to wish the months away, but

Hopefully see the usual suspects there and anyone else who's at a loose end and wants to pop along to have a listen and natter over a drink of whatever.

The last play lists attracted more interest than ever so we've been digging deep again + some early Christmas treats landed which just can't be left wrapped up :shhh: . See you there and maybe before, hopefully at Mick's charity night "It's nearly Christmas soul thang" in Finedon this Friday

What can I say, a fabulous way to end the year for us, superb sets from Cliff, Dave, Sid, Steve and even I got to play a couple too, playlists listed elswhere, a massive thankyou to all our guests who have truly embraced the ethos of this doo. We've heard the lot, Northern, Crossover, R n B, Deep, Sweet, rare groove, modern and proper modern.

The biggest thanks goes to Steve Scotney & Jem Brittan who provide some serious top kit creating a sound that must be the envy of most doos locally.

I'm still slightly dismayed at the absence of some of the local high profile faces, I can only assume its 'Northern Soul' or nowt, I did rather stupidly think that with four half hour slots up for grabs it would have given them an opportunity to try out there new acquisitions, never mind, all 6 sessions so far have seen some top setsplayed by genuine collectors and I'm happy for that to continue, we are back for more on the 4th January 2015.

See you there
