First of all don't be so presumptuous!

This event was posted before Stewartby. The promoter Ady Potts are in contact with each other and I promote his event on air.

Goldsoul have no interest in Bedford and it's one off instigated by the hotel.

When booked 14 months ago, Stewarrtby did not even have a date!

I welcome Stewartby even putting their flyers out and have you thought this might actually do them some good when we leave town?

Stop trying to stir up trouble.

Sadly not the brightest crayon in the box ! No real facts about the event whatsoever using this well respected platform to cause trouble.

I have all the facts Roberts from the horses mouth .

As for being likened to a crayon I find somewhat childish,I suppose that is only to be expected.

Give it a rest smudgesmith.

If you don't want to go that's your choice. Just stop putting stupid pointless comments on the site.

Those of us who are going are looking forward to it - a one off event for Bedford.

We check this site for updates, not whining trash from you.

Obviously a friend of Roberts ! I'll give it a rest when he stops trying to rule the scene

For your information I have never met the man, nor ever spoken to him.

Thank goodness you have no intention of going to the event. You're everything that Northern Soul doesn't represent, nor need.

Hi Chris,

I've been wrapped up in (what people call) 'politics' many times in the past, and I'm all for people sticking up for what they believe in - I'd rather that than just writing off situations as politics. Sometimes someone has to take a stand (but not always!)

If anyone (not aimed at you Smudge) has a personal gripe with Kev Roberts then that is their business, but what I don't like seeing is people against Kev Roberts events for no reason other than just following others......This is how I picture Kev Roberts - He puts on professionally run successful events, this comes hand in hand with making a profit - where's the problem?

Being involved in promoting seems to suck you in to situations / arguments (partly to do with putting yourself 'out there' I suppose) Now I'm 'resting' with ref promoting it's so nice just to make the most of every single night out no matter who is running it (I understand and appreciate what goes in to putting on an event)

Just touching on the Stewartby clash with this event - I agree this is unfortunate, but the days of people not clashing / treading on each others toes were over 10 years ago. I doubt I would even bother looking at the busy calendar now if I was to put on an event. There are so many, they are bound to clash - especially if an event is monthly.

A lot more people 'come out to play' now, so lets hope both Stewartby and this event are successful evenings.

All the best,

Len

An absolutely cracking night. Top music with some real floor fillers.

The DJs worked hard but the gold medal had to go to Derek Mead. Spot on. :hatsoff2:

A slight gripe was the main room wooden dance floor was small but people were able to spread out onto the carpet area (which was easier to slide about on!)

Thanks to everyone involved for making it a great night out for Bedford which hopefully won't be as advertised - a one off event.
