Well let's hope it's not like last year on Sunday night full of young drinkers dancing on the dance floor with drinks.I f wanted to go to a youth club I would go with my grand children . Sorry but this is true has last year was a youth night with selling Sunday tickets at ten pounds,.

Great weekend for many reasons something for everyone. Best spot of the weekend for me was Jordans on level 5 friday night, went home sunday afternoon so i did not see his spot in the ballroom on sunday which was a pity due to family commitments. Lovely to see Sarah winning the dancing competition, a real quality dancer who is a pleasure to watch. The younger generation really are making their mark on this scene long may this continue.

Enjoyed the weekend BUT why oh why do most of the DJ's think that we all want to hear and dance to 100 mile an hour stomping tracks? Yes we all love the music but Northern Soul is much more than that there are so many great records out there that would never be played at these big events. Didn't see Jordons spot on Friday but his Sunday was not well supported on the dance floor! Perhaps punters were tired of the stomping tracks and wanted something different? What happened to DJ's watching the floor and playing something different when it's not working?

Best spot for us Chris King on Saturday night - he mixed it up and the crowd kept dancing.

Will probably be back again next year for our 10th in a row! Here's hoping that we have a music policy change.

Also enjoyed the weekend and agree with the 100mph stomping tracks comments above. Having said all that, the best spot for us was the Saturday afternoon Twisted Wheel session which was 100mph all the way, rekindling a liking for RnB and a rediscovery of the following track https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qWRjus3end4! We did enjoy Chris King on Saturday night too.

Only our second visit to this particular weekender and still debating whether to go again next year - whilst the venue and dance floor is iconic and the atmosphere great, the place itself (the Tower Ballroom) leaves a bit to be desired, looking a little tired. Some of the staff and service was not very good ... bars (queues, inconsistency of pricing), poor quality of draught drinks (every pint tasted different), door staff (over zealous searching), toilets (not particularly clean), cloakroom (ran out of coathangers) - thank god for the soulies! Grumpy old man rant over. You know we will probably go back!
