Cheers Larry, always look forward to this night of music from the clubs that shaped today's soulscene.Early memories stirred by remembering clubs I attended,King Mojo,Wheel,Top of the Town and then there was the Imperial Nelson with Edwin Starr,Stevie Wonder and the Atlantic, stax, volt, roadshow with Otis,Sam n Dave,Arthur Conley,Steve Cropper with the Markeys was it 19 65,anyway about 1000 + mods turned up to make it a fantastic night.Rolls Royce always rocks on this special night which also features today's top soul sounds.Although Barnoldswick is a bit out of the way it has survived 17 years now thanks to people enjoying the big ballroom atmosphere and Lancs and Yorks soulies getting together. Thanks to all that supported our enforceded move to the Muni at Colne for the 17th anniv.I passed on all your messages to Wendy, she would like to thank you all, atb Romanx

Flyer collage poster would be good, though after seventeen years the actual flyers would need to be really small, or the poster absolutely enormous. I think the continued success of this venue is due to Roman and Wendy, but it's isolated location means you have to want to be there and be prepared to put in the effort. Didn't go out this weekend, so doubly looking forward to RR. As time continues to pass by at an alarmingly increasing pace, I am pleased to report I'll be another year older at midnight. I won't be drinking but felicitations and greetings are always appreciated!

We will get Kempie to play u a tune Dan during his midnight hour slot,I've always loved rolls for its out of the way, soul in the sticks setting,as you say makes for soulful gathering. We always take bets on who will be first on the dancefloor, you and Sharon or Ty and Angela, see you at midnight,x Flyer collector

Also remember Lester brought a pie to be judged in the charity raffle as did Francisco, can't remember who won,Terry Davies was also there and Les Cockells parents as we raised money for a charity close to their hearts

Yes  Roman Just A Few Down On The Normal Numbers At The Rolls But Was Still A Brill Night With A Great Mix Of Music And The Dance floor Was Busy All Night I Guess Some Weeks There Is Just So Much On Leading Up To Christmas And Rolls Has A Strong Regular Following And Like The Saying Goes-- Cream Always Rises To The Top.

So Here's To The Next One In December - See You There - Cally

Thank you very much for a super birthday night out. Couldn't have wished for more. Although the cake would have been more impressive with the indoor incendiary device Sharon had planned, unfortunately she left her bag on the car roof when we set out and had to improvise. Best regards to Wendy, you were missed. X
