Had a fabulous time last time. Great , appreciative crowd packing the venue out - a fab atmospheric cellar venue so chuffed to bits to be asked back . As well as this iconic and legendary music venue , Berwick is a wonderful place to visit .

My first time at Soul in the Basement and really appreciate the invitation. Looking forward to meeting Andy and Acky and catching up with Brian and Tuka. Will probably be playing mainly 70's modern and keeping it very soulful.

So looking forward to this one - there's some real maestros behind the decks, the Scottish legend that is Acky Buchan with a reputation for awesome and floor filling 6ts, rnb & popcorn, Frank McCue promising some 7ts/modern and Brian Cardno who always excels whenever I see him dj.

Just sorting a box of tunes which seems to be veering towards the mod/ rocksteady / rnb, a touch of northern and a few recent releases. That said, if there's any on here https://m.mixcloud.com/andybellwood/ which anyone fancies listening /dancing to on Saturday just drop me a pm and I'll put them in the playbox.

To say the venue was buzzin’ is an understatement. The joint was bouncin’. The iconic Barrels music venue was rammed and seemingly every inch of floor space taken by the dancers responding to great tunes played by host Brian Cardno, brilliant 7ts from Frank McCue and the driving, uptempo rnb from one of Scotland’s finest, Acky Buchan.

Great to meet and chat to Frank for the 1st time and ditto Acky with a set that impressed to such an extent, Aberdeen and Barrowlands (Glasgow) are now on our bucket list.

Especially nice to hear Lydia Marcelle ‘everybody dance' and Gillettes ‘’same identical thing’ and hope playlists from all are posted.

Big thanks for the invite and an opportunity to spin a few again to such an enthusiastic, responsive and energetic crowd – great fun and so so enjoyable.
