What a great night, and all for charity! Fantastic!....really enjoyed every minute, start to finish...another massive table full of raffle prizes (big thank you to all who donated)....music was sublime, which is normal for a pure soul event....and Mr Rob Gray played a set you would not here anywhere (poss grumpy soul)....the best of the shrine label, blendells, buddy smith to name just a few....amazing!!!!!.......and I won the little wooden, home made play box, hot box, sales box or what ever you want to name it.....made by Paul Shaw (resident dj) by hand, finger joints the full works, beautiful!...clever bugger!....thank you everyone who is involved in the set up of this little rare, underplayed soul night...merry x.mas to one and all and thank you for another great year.....love to all....Rob Bull..

This event is now over. Look up now to read the latest reviews of this soul event

the final double decking is now complete with Terry & Alex stepping in, so any of you out there like a tad of R&B you're in for a treat

Hope you can ALL make it to support a noble caring charity the Mary Ann Evans Hospice, these wonderful people care for us, so lets show them how much they mean to us, so dig deep (or as deep as you can, cos I know times are tight with Christmas coming up)

ATB...Rob

If this do is like last months get together everyone's in for a treat!.....every pound at this event goes to charity.....the local hospice.....which in any town is a very worthwhile cause.....everyone knows someone, unfortunately, who has had to go into one of these facilities and there fantastic......amazing!.....pure soul has raised nearly a thousand pounds in the last two years by there soul all dayers for the Mary Ann Evans hospice in Nuneaton, all money donated by the kind folk who go to this rare/underplayed soul do....(only a small venue, so amazing generosity by the attendees!)......I suggest that all requests for records cost a donation of £1, maybe £2 pounds.....what ever the tune...rare, under played....or the oldies...it doesn't matter on this night it's about raising £ for a local charity......come on ladies and gents, pop your requests on here or ask on the night.....will be a great evening....kind regards.....Rob Bull

Looking forward to this. Its my fav nite out anyway. So a dayer for a good cause even better. as I've said before the vibe, music and people  that go here are all the tops. I have a £2 request will somebody tell that bloody Les Norman to change his socks. The last time I was with him I came down with a severe bout of Rangoon crutch the following week. I'm sure it had something to do with those bloody  socks of his. I was tipped off they were made of recycled Nuneaton beaver pelts... This time I'm wearing frontline pest control treatment. Not as alluring as my Canal No5 but more practical. See you all then, hope you make loads of dosh for the hospice. Kimbo.

ps Keep ya eye on that Kev Drage he upsets people's dogs in the early hours.... by telephone.

Must ask mr Norman about these sock issues.....definitely a theme on every pure soul thread.....I don't visit the Norman residence after the do but this seems to be where the sock problem raises its ugly head......back to the music....my requests so far, at a small donation of a £1 into the charity pot are.....blendells from mr Rob 'fifty shades of' Gray...Connie Clark (just gone for 2k on jm's auction) from Ralph 'the doctor' Forster.....plenty more  requests from me and will ask the djs on the night....gonna be skint but a good cause to donate to......please ask for requests at the cost of a quid or more if your flush!.....the guys will play ANYTHING if they have it with them.....think this is gonna be a great night...see you there all......Rob B
