Soul In The Bowl Rushden Details

Another top night of Northern Soul in 2 rooms. The main room is for dancers with special guest Tony Dellar joining regulars Gibby, Glenn and Steve. The 2nd room will be under the control of Mr Karl Boddington playing the rare, underplayed and often forgotten gems. Admission is just £5 on the door. Get there early for the best seats as this night is always busy.

WoW!!! I just wanted to write (for the first time in ages) & say what a fantastic night at Soul in the Bowl. The music in the big room was simply buzzing & the floor packed with marvellous, entrancing dancers.  I dipped in and out of the 'Kavern' and in here too there was such a great vibe. I just want to say well done to all & I simply cannot wait until the next one.  October seems a long way off. Also will come earlier next time so I get a table to just sit & rest my weary legs.

I thought I ought to take a few minutes to write some of my thoughts on Saturday night. For me it was a very humbling experience to see such a huge turnout of kindred spirits from all over the place. Thank you everyone for turning up and making it such a fantastic night. DJs definitely feed off of the vibe and that certainly came over in the music. Many thanks to Karl, Marco, Andy Pollard, Phil Attley, Gibby, Glenn and Tony Dellar for playing such great tunes. Roll on October 8th.

Hi there, main room medium size dance floor playing a mix of 60's / 70's oldies R & B and cross over etc. Small room under played 60's / 70's modern soul etc. It's a lovely venue. I hope that helps you.

Hi Spinningsoulcat.

As Karl says it is a good sized dance floor which is about half of the room. It gets very busy but there is always room to dance. The venue holds around 200. The music policy in that room is very much for dancers. Plenty of uptempo for most tastes. If you come along please come and say hello.
