For me it's worth the trip just to hear Flash McKinley played out.  My all-time top favourite record.  A real Preston cybermen tune ! :)

Flash McKinley - great choice for an all time favourite Louis

That was supposed to be  "front and centre of the dance floor" - but spell checker went into overdrive

ROBBOS' SPINS FOR NCS BURY

Whilst out together over the weekend I asked Robbo if he had any ideas for spins at Bury, he looked quite serious and thoughtful for a few seconds then said he'd probably open with:

Lonnie Donigan | Does Your Chewing Gum Lose Its Flavour | DOT (Demo)

Folowed by:

Bernard Cribbins | The Hole in the Ground | HMV (British Issue)

I should've know better I guess lol

:D

Right, after being ‘racked with guilt’ after saying I don’t really like seeing play lists nowadays because I think a record is for ‘the moment’, and one can’t tell if a night is any good or not by play lists alone (no offence to anyone that does of course, that’s just me), I thought why not? Some people appreciate them / even find them interesting! :D So, here are a few I’d like to share on the night (If ‘fitting’ at 3.00am)

Dream Team - There He Is - Gregory Records

Silky Hargraves - I’ll Keep On Trying - Unissued version

Chubby and The Turnpikes - The Inside Story - Capitol

The Softiques - Two Kinds Of Boys - Sheldon

Sonny Craver - I’m No Fool - Teri De

The Embers - First Time - JCP

Here’s to a good night

All the best,

Len
