BEVERLEY MEMORIAL HALL NORTHERN & MODERN SOUL NIGHT! SATURDAY 14TH JULY 2018, 8 pm to 1 am! As promised, we're back!!....... This superb venue is totally made for a soul night! In a great location adjacent to the magnificent and historic Beverley Town Centre, the Memorial Hall itself has a fantastic dancefloor, separate bar area, great stage and was totally refurbished only a few years ago. DJ's for this, our 2nd time out, are John Kane (BBC Radio Northern Soul show), Steve Woomble (Hull City Hall, Cleethorpes Winter Gardens and various weekenders) Hull Soul Club's main men Daryl Scott & Steve Oxborough and Beverley's very own soul legend Ian 'EVO' Etherington. We'll be playing 'across the board' soul, from the 6ts to the present day, plenty you'll know, a few you might not and also a generous helping of known and lesser-known Motown. So, a bit of everything really! Be aware that this is not a massive place folks! Maximum will be very early 200's. It's a fiver in, first come first served. So please be early!

Shaun "The Captain" Kearney, Robin Hope, Ricky Woollons, Daryl Scott, Alan "Buska" Carmichael, Ian Gibbs, James Taylor and Nicky Damms. And, just to re-assure everyone, we've got a top quality sound system coming in!..... Modernsoulclassics? Huh? What's that then??...... Well, we use the very broad interpretation of any outstanding tracks from the 7ts onwards tbh! Easiest way to say is this...... If it's a Modernsoulclassic, then it's a Modernsoulclassic! :-) You'll hear some you know, and some you won't.... but hopefully we can keep it fresh and quality for everyone..... Blackies Club is a great venue with a fab dancefloor! Big car park, decent bar prices and plenty of room for those who want to chill a bit inside or out (It will be springtime remember!) Brough itself has loads of pubs/bars/restaurants/cafes for those who might want to break the day up, and there are plenty of hotels within a couple of miles. What's not to like!
