  1. The Shadows - Time Is Running Out / Beautiful Heaven - Mercury (1967) The writers of both sides are Donnie Harley (sister) and Fonnie Harley (brother) They were The Shadows - Donnie, Fonnie & La Vorn - Gents & The Lady
  2. It was a cover up. On a major label and super rare. "The Lady" of this group is the same vocalist. Do some researching and you could find the answer. I'll put a link to it soon if nobody gets it.
  3. First one is Sunrise Movement on Ghetto Productions PM me if you want an mp3 of it.
  4. No, nothing in detail about her Decca releases.
  5. Hi Mal, You can download and listen to a good 90 minute interview with Connie and her husband, they were both in groups as teenagers. She tells you about her early group and solo recordings and the whole interview is built around life in The Bronx. I enjoyed listening to it. https://research.library.fordham.edu/baahp_oralhist/191/
  6. He's @Fdsoul6345789 on here. Does it have to be landline ? I have his mobile number and email, i can send him a text if needed.
  7. Hard to guess on release date as those numbers are taken from the album. I would say John is right that it's a posthumous release within a year or so of 1969. T 1966 P Popular R 12" 33 1/3rpm M Mono S1.6 = Side 1 Track 6
  8. Sounds like Johnny Daye - Good Time - Jomada
  9. @Mike Lofthouse is your man for Bobby Bland releases. Last time i asked about his Bobby Bland collection he just needed one or two to complete the full set. There was one he wasn't sure came out even though it is listed, it could be the one you're asking about.
  10. Yes, ZZ Hill and Joe Taylor are the same song. I was stating that Joe Taylor has the wrong writing credits. Those credits are from a George Smith song with the same name from 1956.
  11. Two different songs with the same title from the same publishing company. The "Smith & Ling" song was done by George Smith in 1956 and it's a different song to ZZ Hill in 1964. The two record labels involved have the same parent company Modern Records. Looks like the credits on the later Joe Taylor cover should of went to ZZ Hill but got mixed up with the earlier song. The Joe Taylor version is brilliant, a great singer that i'd like to know more about.
  12. The writer Bobby Eaton also did it. I have the one from Discogs and its the only one ive ever seen. Definately the rarest of the "Brothers Of Soul" releases.
  13. I'm currently reading "Atlantic And The Godfathers Of Rock And Roll" Here's a bit about Morris Levy, owner of Roulette records buying 5 million MGM records for 20 cents each. The Bostocks stock could of come through this deal ?
