    shake your hips brings you the quirkiest venue around, situated in Whalley in the heart of the Ribble valley, the Salvage house is one of the best kept secrets around, it has the feel and atmosphere of the best underground clubs ever, in fact a friend of mine who is 75 years old and an ex wheel regular, said on a recent visit, this place transports me back to Whitworth st, we kick of in April with Dave Hamer, Ronnie Brown ,Jimmy Noble and special guests tbc, all wheel regulars, playing an eclectic mix of Rhythm & Blues, Ska, 60s soul and latin, expect loads of big 60s favourites and forgotten gems, great bar and Peruvian streetfood and free admission what more could you ask for

    Saturday August 12 th, another instalment of Defunked, at the fabulous salvage house in Whalley, the ribble valleys best kept secret, Ronnie Brown and Jimmy noble playing super heavy 70s Funk, rare groove, paradise garage classics and 80s soul gems, maybe a bit of disco and definitely some latin. doors 4.00pm till 11.00pm, free admission, great bar, and fabulous Peruvian street food from the guys at Amorttana .

    another episode of our cool Sunday outing,, at the New Continental Preston. the usual suspects, Dave Hamer, Steve Wilde, Ronnie Brown and Jimmy Noble playing all the best from the late 50s, 60s soul, ska, mod Motown and northern. if you're not familiar with the Conti, its a fabulous venue down by the river in Preston, with a pub, fantastic food (you can dine and dance it off) fabulous beer garden and last but not least a fully air conditioned venue, admission is just £5
