I'll be behind the decks all evening from about 8.30pm until midnight. After the success of our first ModnSoul 'out on the road' night, I am delighted to announce that I have been asked back to put on another one!! ModnSoul as the name suggests is Modernist grooves with a decent helping of Northern soul , 60 and 70s soul as well as some modern and crossover bangers. This time around I'll be joined by Dave Brennan who will no doubt get you up and shuffling your feet to some rare groove and funky tunes. The Bread and Roses is a great live music pub just off Clapham High Street and there is no charge at the door! It's easy to get to with both Northern Line and Overground stations nearby as well as several bus routes passing through at the end of the road. See you there!

I am delighted to announce that our next ModnSoul night will be on Saturday 13th May. This is a popular fixture on the soul calendar and is always a great night with music played by Brendan Farrell (The Face Radio) and Yasmin Williams. Doors open at 7pm and close at midnight. It's a great intimate venue with a vibrant dance floor and cheap bar! Advanced ticket sales are just £7 (add 'springmodnsoul' at the checkout to receive a discount until the end of March. I'm delighted to be taking my popular ModnSoul night out on the road to the wonderful Bread and Roses Pub in Clapham, SW London. It's a brilliant live music venue with a stage for the DJ and ample room elsewhere for shuffling your feet and shaking your hips. This is really going to be a great night and will hopefully be the start of a regular event at this fantastic location. Expect to hear some great Northern Soul, Soul, Motown and modernist grooves as well as a few cheeky ones!! There is no door tax and I'll be playing the tunes from about 8pm until midnight. Resident DJ's are Brendan Farrell (The Face Radio - Brooklyn) & Yasmin Winters plus for this night we welcome aboard Dean Coubrough aka 'Deano' (Good Intentions sound system) who will be bringing his little of box of ska, rocksteady and reggae to our decks! The music is banging with a mixture of Mod, Northern Soul, Motown as well as a few cheeky ones to get everyone on the dance floor! Our next ModnSoul night will be on Saturday 17th September and I'm delighted to say that we will be joined by ex BBC Radio 2 presenter Andy Davies who will be travelling over from France especially for the event. Andy Davies loves his Northern Soul music so expect to hear a banging set of tunes that will no doubt have you spinning on the talc friendly dance floor!! I'll also be on the decks as usual along with Yasmin Winters. Doors open at 7pm and close at midnight. It's just £7 entry and there are several local hotels nearby if you are travelling from farther afield!

After the astonishing success of the last Out on the Floor Night back in February, The Face Radio crew are back on Saturday 18th July at the legendary Mildmay Club, Newington Green, London N16 9PR. DJ's on the night will be Jaf Jervis (Blues & Grooves show), Tim Spurrier (Soulside show), Brendan Farrell (ModnSoul show) and from Brooklyn - Kurtis Powers (Rendezvous show). The last night completely sold out so be sure to get your tickets directly from the MildMay Club to guarantee entry. This is a wonderful inconic venue with a superb wooden sprung dance floor!! Our popular ModnSoul night will be back on Saturday 9th July at the usual venue - The United Services Club, Carshalton Road, Sutton, Surrey. It's less than half an hour by train from central London and if you are coming from farther afield and want to stay over then there are several hotels within walking distance to the venue. It fills up quickly so be sure to arrive early to grab your spot and then enjoy the wonderful tunes provided by myself (Brendan Farrell - ModnSoul show on The Face Radio), Yasmin Winters and our guest DJ from Margate - the wonderful Tim Spurrier (Soulside show - The Face Radio).
