  3. Great venue Great Music Class DJs Great nights
  4. Hi I am a very lucky DJ, being selected to DJ at Bri Richmond's Memorial at Huntington WMC. I was lucky enough to know Bri Richmond be at the Youth Club or buying records at the Record shop, SOUND EFFECT. He was respect by most in York, We used to go to Soul events all over the North Of England, the usual places Wigan, Sheffield, Leeds and many more. Dressed in our tailor made suit by Seymour's of Church Street YORK, Long leather or sheepskin coats. To say it was an underground movement you could spot another person with the same musical interest a mile away Bri had his Philip Cassette tape recorder blasting out the popular Soul sounds in the train carriage on our way to a venue. Anyway you get the picture because we all did it. Bri's life was cut short by a very cruel disease, Cancer which he fought to the end and raising awareness of it threw soul nights the music which we all love. So come along and support CHARITY SOUL in Association with Huntington WMC. BRI RICHMOND'S MEMORIAL Raise money, play the charity raffle and have a nostalgic night with Yorkshires finest SOUL MUSIC and DJ's
  5. Looking forward to this event, seeing Carl & Maria and Dave Rimmer seeing Loads of old friends
  6. I would just like to thank the Ladies Debbie, Wendy, Cazzy and Scott (Some people call him a man or a hooker, just been told that stems back to a previous boxing career) for the use of the 'back room' for my 60th sorry 21st for 39th time. I am hoping to bring you varied selection of soul music brought to you by my friends The Chosen Few Cally already a favourite at the Twisted Grooves. Chris Morgan, a singer Song writer but in a previous life, the man behind The Taste of Honey aldayers. Craig Butler well known for his record collection and knowledge of things soul vinyl from Bradford but has spun his tunes all over Europe. Loren, adopted by Switzerland, originates from Brittany France, known in this country for DJin at Rugby alnighter and Skegness Weekender and was part of the co-op that were responsible for the Brittany Weekender. Gary Brown is one of the founder members of The Empty Bottles in Leeds, Gary should be a legend for what he has done on the upfront in ya face SOUL, MOD, SCOOTERING scenes. Martyn nearly everyones favourite who isn't a DJ he is the complete DJ which one will turn up? Oldies Martyn, R&B Martyn, Latin Martyn, up front aand in ya face Martyn, which ever Martyn turns up we are going to be swinging our pants. Illya

  12. Have a great night Errol and Pete (Mr Best} I had a great night last time I was there, nice to see some Yorkshire DJ's making the trip I am sorry I can't make it due to DJin commitments and I will see Soul Sam on Sunday at the Taste of Honey where we will be spinning some tunes
Brilliant afternoon and evening open minded people who I hope appreciated my tunes, some of my Bradford followers turned which was good of them. The host Stewart and Chris don't half work hard to keep it going, and their music is second to none Cheers and thanks for the invite
  13. Me had a good night, good to see Ian Cunliffe out and about after his issues so many great records played, it puts faith back in the rarer side of rare soul events but the record for me, many will disagree was James FoUntain Seven Day Lover my all time favourite tune from Cleethorpes pier played one of the original Pier DJs Chris Dalton. All DJ's kept the place rocking and the dance floor full, People said to me that the venue was quite due to passing of one of the regulars which it did affect many that were there. Those that are supporting the Soul Weekender in Manchester you missed a great one. I would just like to thank Errol for running me about he's second to none Thank you my friend and I will be back
