  1. Hi Not sure if this is the correct forum I bought a cheap £5 record today off a well established E bay dealer and unfortunately the record sticks, it is not my stylus as I only got a new one and two weeks ago, it is the standard cartridge that comes on a Rega Planar 2. I have looked at the listing and it says buyer to pay return postage. my question is is this allowed as the goods are faulty,as it will cost £2.40 to return it signed for postage. I have not contacted the seller yet as I would like to know even if they say buyer pays return postage is this legal? this is the first time in hundreds of transactions I have had a problem. thanks in advance Geoff
  2. A top bloke, so sorry to hear this news, thoughts go out to Julie and family Geoff
  3. Listened to this today at work and really enjoyed it, would have bought a few had they been on vinyl, can anyone recommend similar which are available on vinyl? thanks for posting cheers Geoff

UK pressing. Cat No: COLP 2006 A1;B1 handwritten on vinyl run off. "DESMOND" is hand written on vinyl run off side one. Plain white sleeve. Sleeve graded VG. Plain white labels has some smll spotting stains. No spindle wear. There are a couple of light marks that are only visible when held at an angle to a bright light. Only the occasional light background. Vinyl graded EX/EX+. Ten track dub music only recording (no vocal). Aside from a copy of this selling on Ebay for silly money (see Popsike; search COLP2006), I can find little information about this record. A response on the Reggae forum Blood and Fire was helpful: Hi Diddly bop i believe i have the answer to your query i found a write up in a black echoes of sept 24th 1977 it reads Currently circulating specialist shops Hortense Ellis & derrick morgan album entitled still in love with you. also emanating from the same source Agrovators dub lp- rasta dub 2000, produced by bunny lee the set features 10 ''jumpers'' rhythms including 'i'm still in love with you version and is a prince jammy mix, published by page three music. both sets have been pressed up on blank white labels in a limited edition. for the benefit of black echoes readers who may have purchased either of the sets and would appreciate fuller details, we are publishing track details. details of the rasta dub 2000 lp are side 1 jumping dub, skilful dub, ethiopian dub, still in love dub, and a rootsy dub. side 2 i can't go on without dub, a steppin dub, a rocking dub,a mighty dub and the best. it also says there is a possiblity that the dub album will later be released on the upcoming magnum label and the derrick and hortense collusion on conflict but as yet this is still uncomfirmed.
  6. Hi Ady any chance this unreleased lp will ever see the light of day on vinyl? thanks Geoff
  7. I wish he was right about the date he says issued in 1961 - 48 years ago, I was born in 61 and had my 54th birthday in January just gone
  8. I've sent a couple of messages over the weekend and who I sent them to normally replies but I have not had a reply
  9. Hi Ian I bow to your vast knowledge and length of service in the music business and you have a point about how streaming is taking off but a lot of that business is coming from download sales falling off a cliff, physical product is having it tough but it has got life in it yet, especially with the return of vinyl(yes still a very small percentage of sales) but this year will see even more growth,we are now at the stage on certain titles selling more vinyl than cd(and that's not because the sales of the cd are poor). Both physical products still have life in them as people still like a physical product to handle /art work/sleeve notes etc. It's tough out there but if you offer the right product at the right price in the right environment you have a chance. this is imho. thanks Geoff
  10. I don't mind him putting his over priced records on, because I listen to them and then buy from somewhere else a lot cheaper so he provides me with a good source of records I have missed/don't know about, but agree he is a rip off merchant there's another on here who always has sound clips and is always way over priced ,then he puts them on again saying reduced, but if you check back they are the same price, I have only ever seen any of them sell the odd thing
  11. Thanks for the heads up, just bought 10 of the LP one's... now to decide what to put in them! cheers Geoff
