  9. Pay and Display Car Parks close by: Union Terrace Car Park https://g.co/kgs/U9DdTV There's also one by Jaipur Spice, about 200 yds from the venue. The No. 6 bus to Clifton Moor will drop over the road, about 200 yds, from the venue. Or, if the weather is warm, you can walk from town, . And for those coming from out of town, there's plenty of accommodation nearby: hotels, guest houses and B&B's. But book early because it's a Bank Holiday, and York will be rammed!! Plus a myriad of fab places to eat, whatever your chosen delicacy
  10. Really looking forward to this, especially deejaying alongside Karen J Cooper. She knows how to rock the room. It's been a while since I've played out to a room full of dancers. See y'all next Saturday!
  11. Yes, it is. Great dancefloor and welcoming vibes, making it ideal for a night of dancing to soul music

  13. until

Looks a fab venue and music policy. Just need to check dates and that I'm not gigging in the band
  14. Special Guest DJ: Dave Rimmer [Rugby Soul Club Allniter] Resident DJ's: Jay Cee (Jason Chinnian) [There Was A Time / Flipside / The Waterfront Blues & Soul Club]. Jamie Walker The Beat Club: 60's Mod Sounds, 60's Northern Soul & Motown, some Modern, R&B, Popcorn all on original vinyl! 19:30 - 23:30 FREE ENTRY Door Tax Situated in the stunning historic city of York The Clarence Beat Club also takes you back in time. To a time of smart 3 button Italian styled suits, mini dresses and skirts, button-down collars and handmade shoes, knitted ties, cufflinks, tie pins and pocket handkerchiefs. A time of 'bob' or 'back-combed' hairstyles. Continental modes of transport in the form of Vespa's or Lambretta's or the British iconic Mini. The music was new and anti-establishment: cool, finger clicking and hip shaking modern jazz, or hard-hitting, earthy R&B, or pounding soul stompers hailing from across the pond or the more relaxed vibe of the islands to the south with those rocksteady ska beats. This is what The Beat Club is all about. Plus a great compact venue, with a chill out beer garden, [mod band posters in the bar and a scooter hanging on the beer garden wall], that welcomes you with open arms and creates that cool 60's Mod Club vibe making you want to get up and shake ya thang. Good value drink prices for a city centre. Also, an NCP car park is only 5 minutes walk from the venue. There's plenty to see and do: ESPECIALLY XMAS SHOPPING! historic attractions, award-winning restaurants, good value accommodation and quality retail shopping therapy. So why not make a proper weekend of it. For Accommodation: https://www.visityork.org/book/ For Food & Drink: https://www.visityork.org/eat-and-drink For Shopping: https://www.visityork.org/shopping
  15. Cool music video to bring to life this 60's Northern Soul influenced retro-sounding tune but with a modern fresh edge that appeals to Mods, Soulies and Scooterists and has received great feedback when played out at venues across the UK. It is to promote the 45 single release in late Dec 2021 or early 2022 on Last Bastion Records. Pre-release orders will be taken nearer the time via Detour Records. I will post on social media, and on here, when it is available to order. It is limited to only 300 singles. I hope you like it. http://shop.detourrecords.co.uk/epages/es785745.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/es785745/Categories/Last_Bastion_Records
