Another excellent evening at the exotically titled 'Archibald Worthington Club' in Whitchurch last night.

This venue really is coming into its own in summer 2011. The last few have been really busy with lots of familiar, knowledgeable members of the Midland and Northwest soul family in attendance. Even got a few curious locals in and they were up dancing all night oblivious that they were strutting their stuff to thousands of pounds worth of vinyl!

Pete, Keith and Errol entertained us with their usual high quality material, but the guests this month were truly outstanding with some stunning tunes being played. Dancefloor busy all evening, even to the more obscure stuff.

Well done to Errol and Keith. So grateful to have this calibre of music being played just a few miles from home.

See you next time

Neil, Chimene, Kiddo & Wendy

Both John,Carol, Tracy and I had a fantastic evening. We arrived in Ash Hall our B&B at approx 5.15pm to be greeted by a wonderful Hostess and the most quaint period Hall from Queen Anne Times which Errol had most kindly booked for us "IT SCREAMED OF GHOST AND GOULLIES" Our hostess most kindly got us booked in to eat at the White Lion just round the corner.
This was another Gem in the pile top food with wonderful Landlady and excellent Ale. Next was the fun of booking a Taxi, we booked a cab for 8.30 and a pick up at 1am then we found out the do finishes at 1.30am so we cancelled it and rebooked for 1.30am, we coudnt use them as this firm finish at 1am so we decided we wouldget one in the town, now we had a problem as this was the only Taxi firm in Whitchurch :g: Then our Knight in shining armour in the guise of Errol came to our rescue,"I will run you back to the haunted castle" Problem solved.
Next into the event a lovely Room with a decent sized dance floor and a bar" where we met Killa" with not out of the way prices all was good. We sat down to Chat to Pat Bleasdale a lovely lady and proceeded to enjoy the evening, as said above the quality of guests was emmense, Errol did say it would be full of collectors and Knowlegable soulies and Wow!!! he was spot on  great tunes from the resident Djs Keith and Errol followed by a brilliant spot from Chic,John and i had a job on our hands to entertain and hopefully we did as we double decked from 11.30pm till 1am with tunes that are now regular anthems at York soul Club.
Errol, Keith it was a absolute privelidge and an honour to of been asked to play to such a fantastic audience, and will be anevening that sticks out in my memories for years to come  THANKYOU
A list of my plays on the evening, hopefully John will post later.

Last Friday saw yet another instalment of this top rare soul club which seems to be growing in popularity every time..

resident DJ,s.Keith Williams & Errol Green

there guests this time were

John Parker
Tony Hatfield
Chic & Gary Powell

the music from start to finish was absolutely top drawer..the stuff dreams are made of a few unreleased acetates thrown in for good measure as well. more new faces trying it out for the first time, plus the regular soul family, made this a crackin nite with crackin music, music policy here is second to non, I think they only do 4 a year and if i,m right the next one is end of September, put it in your dairy and make it a firm date, you dont want to miss out, we stopped over , as there are plenty of B&B,s to stay at
all I can say is..roll on September  for more of the same
