Well Soulies, August is upon us! Sun, Sea and Sand for most but if your still around on Saturday 6th August 2011, why not come to Edwinstowe Soul Club? Doors open at 7.30 for four hours of Solid Soul music.
We will be playing 100% Northern Soul - thats floor filling classics from the days when soul meant allnighters, Spencers, circle skirts and Polyvelt shoes! Re-live all your soul memories, from Wigan to Cleethorpes and Blackpool Mecca to St Ives!
This month we pay homage to local talent from local clubs. We are honoured to have a very special guest, and an old friend of Eddy's, Grosvenor Rooms very own, Solid Gold resident DJ, the inimitable and original Graham Weaver! backed by the Three Amigo's Ray - the silent DJ, Billy Backdrop and Captain Chaos. Just try to keep your feet still!
All this for £3 on the door - it's better value than a three time condom! Eddy's where you wear your shirt, not lose it!
We have an enormous, beech sprung dance floor (see flyers) and huge car park and are only 10 minutes from the Worksop juction of the A1-M.
Remember Dance it, Wear it and live it! Eddy's - where you can re-live all that soul allows!
Whether your an old soulie, old mod, old casual or just old you will find a warm welcome! We value all oldies as we only play 100% oldies - and thats a promise!
Back by popular demand is Eddy's Dance Class (See other threads) same venue, first Tuesday of every month starting 2nd August, learn Northern dances, brush up or just make new friends - all welcome.
