A big thanks to everyone who travelled to Route 61 on Friday night.

A good crowd and numbers up from the previous month made a great atmosphere and it was great to see people from the Kingstone and Trades clubs in Barnsley, City Limits, Davys and Rotherham Grange.

Great spots from all of the DJ's but a special thanks to Derek Greenhoff and Tom Wheelhouse two of the busiest DJ's on the circuit who managed to fit us in and play a fantastic spot as usual.

Due to room availability in 2011 the dates do swing about a bit and the September Route is on Friday the 23rd September with Guest DJ's Moppsey, Roy Dale and Chris Brookes.

If your not going to the Skeggy weekender why not pay us a visit, for what promises to be another top night of 60's and 70's Northern soul, Motown and R&B.

Top tune of the night Betty O'Brien, She'll be gone, my favourite at the moment.

I too would like to thank everyone who travelled to Route61 on Fri 12th August,

We do our little bit but you the crowd add your percentage to make Route61 Soul Night a real lovely warm freindly athmosphere,

The guest DJs we choose always deliver the goods, so my special thanks goes to two of the nicest guys on the circuit Deck & Tom for giving us their time & providing us with some great tunes as they always do,

Thankyou to John Barnsley for his regular spot & Little John who is always happy to give his services,

And a very special thankyou to the man i chose to run Route61 with me, Soulman Martin "you never fail to please as the months rapidly pass us buy with your choice of records that are always great & always a different set, well done Martin you should be out doing guest spots pal" & i do appologise to you for playing two records you played, i did not here all your set cos i was outside making urgent calls re-my Daughter.

For me i found it a little hard on Friday taking the first half hour while people are arriving & then the final half hour when you all start to depart, but i hope you enjoyed what was played.

Not forgetting Kath who is always there on the door & greets you all with a smile many thanks kath,

Martin will be looking after the show next month while i am in Skegg, see ya'll soon & all of you take care.
