A massive thank you from all at YKSoul, and York Special Baby Care Unit to those who attended and supported the 5th YKSoul Charity All Dayer on Saturday 13th August held at Askham Bryan College, York.
A total of over £1000 was raised.
YKSoul would like to give special thanks to Mitrefinch for lending us a projector, and to Mick Burnett for the superb sound system for the night. Much appreciated.
Special thanks also to the staff of Askham Bryan College who made us feel really welcome and bent over backwards to meet our many needs. The food was brill, especially the vegetable curry with jacket potato and cheese. Apologies for the lager but there was a problem with the taps which didn’t get resolved quickly enough.
YKSoul has now raised almost £53,000, for various Charities, and as long as they have the support that they had yesterday, they will continue to do so.
A massive thank you to all our special DJ's on the night, Jeff Kidd, Andy Carling, Yocky, John Walton, Geoff Claxton, Ron Pedley, Rob Wicks, and Lawrence Grimshaw. Each one delighted the crowd with their own brand of Northern and they really appreciated every choon played for them. I didn’t hear anything played twice which is a credit to all of them. Once again thank you for all your efforts, it was very much appreciated.
Our ladies Angie and Marie did another marvelous job with the raffle bucket raising almost £200, keep doing what you do. Thank you ladies.
A big thank you to all those who contributed prizes as well. Your generosity is really appreciated.
Simon Wragg, our VJ did it again last night mesmerizing the crowd with his video’s, and more importantly the photo’s of the crowd. The photo’s from the night along with many other YKSoul events, can be viewed on Photobucket which can be reached from our Home page, so pay us a visit!
All in all this was up there with the best Charity events YKSoul has hosted, and that mainly goes down to the support we get from not only our regulars and locals, but the new faces that continue to attend from further afield. A big thank you to you all, and please keep coming back.
YKSoul’s next function will be on Friday 7th October 11, which is in aid of York Street Angels at the PO Club, Marygate. Our Special Guest DJ’s for the night will be Ginger Taylor and Moldie. Tickets are now on sale so don’t miss out, and keep visiting our website for details of this and other events. www.yksoul.com

It was another great day. Everyone was very generous with donations of money and raffle prizes.
A big thanks to Julie from Drax for her very generous donation, and to Amanda from 'Just To Say' Florists for the lovely buttonholes which we sold to raise even more money.
I enjoyed meeting some new DJs and it was good to see some new faces at this event.
Thanks - Marie

HI, was great to meet you, really glad you had a good time. I did not see a badge when we were clearing up but I have contacted the venue to see if they found anything. Hope to see you both again.
