from the Met Office site....
Headline:
Rain, sleet and snow continuing eastwards. Widespread ice following countrywide.
This Evening and Tonight:
Rain, sleet and snow continuing eastwards, lingering over southeastern England by dawn. Significant accumulations of snow are likely, particularly in eastern and central Britain. Clearer conditions will follow from the northwest, giving widespread ice and some fog patches.
Sunday:
Starting icy and locally foggy. Snow easing and clearing southeastern Britain during the morning, with eastern UK then dry. Rain soon spreading into western parts however, coupled with hill snow.

Heavy snow here so didn't make Derby, must be 4 or 5 inches and still snowing hard. Don't like letting anyone down but would be mad to go out in this.
