No one mentioned making money, not even KR, so if you are going to make derogatory comments - which are not only against the promoter but every none 'proper soul fan' attending his events, many of whom are on this forum; please at least expalin yourself for everyone. Or dont bother.

I'm a bit confused here
I'm really pleased to see that you have been 'paying your dues' since 1974.Would I be right in saying that every record you buy from a dealer, you ensure that the dealer you buy it from sends a percentage of the sale to the artist. And likewise if you sell a record then you forward a percentage to the artist.
If so,then hat's off to you mate.If not,then you're a hypocrite.
Some people make money out of Northern Soul, what's wrong with that???

If a promoter goes to the trouble and financial risk of putting on events, which are enjoyed by many, is he not entitled to expect a return for his work and capital?
PS. The personality disorder bit.... bet thats not a medical opinion, is it?

Hi UNI-TED,
I've been paying my dues since 1971 and proud to be promoting a (hopefully) great event at the EMPIRE, Middlebrough. GET BEHIND THE PROMOTION --You might just like it. There's hardly a big choice in that neck of the woods so let's all pull together and get the 'BORO cooking!

Spot on Dave
If it wasn't for the promoters and the people that take a chance, there would have been no Torch,Mecca,Casino,Stafford. It's not just the big venues, the little ones in the back room of the pubs.social clubs etc that may only get 30 people in week in week out.If they make a few quid then good on them.Without them there would be no scene.
Oh and by the way Ted I may 'boil your p--s end' as you so eloquently put it.but you have been boiling your head for far too long now.
All together now
