tried out a new venue out on Saturday,coupled the night with trying to raise some money for charity at work. numbers were a little down on forecast but not in the least downhearted ..

Bedworth is a little town just off the M6 and really isnt alot there apart from a few shops and big church but tucked away is fab old style club called the Liberal club with one of the best dancefloors around, along with this it has a newly repaired balcony...all the ingredients for NORTHERN SOUL.....

theres a seperate smoking area inside the club and a kitchen for food if needed.

main purpose of this night was a tester for alot of new and exciting things i've always wanted to try out and im glad to say its fits the bill prefectly. so WATCH THIS SPACE for some interesting and different things lined up for later this year....will be very diferent to the coop but every bit just as GOOD!

thanks to everyone who came on saturday and ive passed the money raised (£150) to the tesco charity of the year...Marie Curie Cancer Appeal

This is a brilliant venue. The dancefloor is wooden parquet tiles, very smooth and one of the best i've ever seen. A high ceiling, balcony (for a record bar?) and stage at one end add the feeling of a classic dancehall. Like Mark says he was pretty much testing the venue with the charity night. Hopefully if the music policy in future is more inclined towards lesser known and rarely played soul then this will be a brilliant alternative to the well established Coop.

Hi Mark,

We couldn't stop for long as we were heading up to the nighter at Maxims but it's a cracking little venue you've got there. Look forward to hearing your plans for the future with it....although I agree with Matt, would be great to have a very local venue with an 'upfront' music policy.
