Bit late with this I know but would just like to say a big thank you to everyone that came to the 1st Select Soul night at Shobnall Social Club. The numbers weren't great but we always knew that this would be a night that would take some building.

Kev and Steve from the Attic and the resident DJ's played great quality sets and we had good feedback on the night and some emails since from people to say that they had really enjoyed it.

The club has a really good feel about it with really good facilities and the added bonus smokers could hear the music from the large decking area outside.

Next night is Friday 13th June with special guests Mark Bicknall and Dean.

SATURDAY 24th MARCH 2012 The Metro Heritage Hotel, Macklin St, Derby. DE1 1LF GUEST DJ' s MARK FREEMAN & BARRY COOPER with resident DJ's Jason, Kev and Mark + Room 2 Ska & Reggae with Phil Bush Pressure Sounds System 9pm to 2am Admission £4 on the door. Great venue with large wooden dance floor. Cheap beer HAPPY HOUR 9-10 www.soulinburton.com

Hi Mark
Yes, it's a great little venue, as demonstrated at Edge's 50th back in October last year!! Was looking to have my 50th at the venue, but pity it clashed with your nite. All the best in keeping up the momentum for the Burton Soul Scene.
