  1. Good night Barry. Always nice to see everybody. Managed to get in quite a bit of dancing, walk that tightrope. Hopefully see you soon. KTF Paul & Ann
  2. Well guest DJ's don't come much better than that. Are folk from Sheffield allowed? WAWAW
  3. Looking forward to this after Brid. Great mix of sounds to come.

    ATB SOUL

Welcome to the summer season. Out of hibernation and depressed with football. Hopefully tonights event will be the pick up it normally is. See you later Paul and Ann

    ATB SOUL

Concur with all that Barry. Proper ATB night, you never knew what was coming next. From the highland room we moved on to Wigan, continued to Cleethorpes pier and then did our stuff at a funky bus stop. Great stuff. Hope we can make it next month I've left it to Ann to come up with an excuse for not participating in a family do. September is out unfortunately due to a family remembrance day.

    ATB SOUL

No red carpet. Oh well, never had one never will. Very enjoyable mix of sounds, one or two newies to me and Ann. Thanks for making us welcome great to see everybody again. The only disappointment was the the dancefloor reaction to Stece Karmen feat Jimmy Radcliffe - Breakaway. Not heard this at a venue for donkeys years, used to fill the floor at wigan and one of the best northern sounds ever IMO. We'll be back.

    ATB SOUL

There could be a special appearance tonight. Get the red carpet out.
  8. Well done Sam and Andy you sound to have done him proud with all the organisation. Proper gentleman and soul god is Sam, can't believe its about 35 years since I first saw him on Cleethorpes Pier twiddling with the knobs and getting the same accolades then as he gets now. Best thing about it he never appears to have aged. I'm sure he'll still be around hitting the decks when he's 100.
  9. And not forgetting Barry rounding it all off in his usual varied style. Some tremendous tunes played throughout the night and whilst the variety was there to suit all types it was nice to see people not leaving the dance floor when the styles changed. It has now become a venue that attracts an appreciative and knowledgeable crowd which in itself creates a great atmosphere. Double celebration for me what with the lads winning and then topped off with a quality soul night you just can't beat it. All jocks did it the way it should be, playing quality from totally across the board. Special thanks to Pat for providing a couple I'd not heard before and keeping with the Pilsley tradition he did a great spot. Paul & Ann
  10. Normally 1.5 to 2 hours. Put it this way I will arrive home from the match about 6.45pm on Saturday. Ann will have had at least an hours start. I will be ready by 7.15pm and then kept waiting. Top tune by the way.
  11. Seems longer than a month since the last one. Ann says we're up for this one even though I will probably be knackered from our first home game of the silly season. Like what I'm hearing from Pat, he will fit in just nicely. Request please cause its a great newie "Whatcha Wanna Do" - Derek Damian. Don't ever change the format Barry as Pilsley works fine as it is and now attracts a crowd who appreciate good quality ATB music.
  12. That would add up from my observations. Thanks for the explanation Rob. See you around and Cheers.Paul
  13. Wondered why I could'nt find it. The 70's tune was "Too Late". Never seen Life after Mars but any nameless female has to be known as bird or as Moldie would say "Crumpet". Thanks for footy comment does'nt look good as we've got rid of 6 players and signed one. Your'e better off being a Forest fan me thinks.
  14. Excuse me Barry but I was on the floor before 9pm dancing to an Andy Jones 70's tune, so was Sheila and another bird. The wife would also have been up but she was AWOL. Some really excellent tunes played and great cross section of music all night. Really like the David Damien track (sorry if i've miss spelt) can't believe its a 2011 production as its sounds like something out of the mid 70's. Sorry I had to miss most of Alan's last spot by that time I'd done it cause thats what 4 hours dancing does to you. Top night and next event falls on the opening day of the footy season. Will probably be depressed again during the day so will need the pick me up which is guaranteed from Pilsley. Best Soul night going by a country mile. KTF Paul & Absent Ann
