Nuneaton Coop Oldies Allniter - End of an era - 2009-2020

End of an era time ...I've decided the 70s and 80s all niter in March and the allniter in January this will be the LAST allniters at the coop ...with covid and the unlikeliness that October and December will go ahead this I can't go another year feeling the way I have been for a while and although I'm filled with pride on what I've achieved at the coop it's time to call it a day from today the Allniters at the Nuneaton coop.

When covid is over we will return but only as a soul night and will only do til 3am at the very latest and events will be posted when I'm able to ..it's been an amazing journey with many many  memorable moments but all good things have to come to an end .. I thank all my djs who have djed for me . the amazing coop staff over the years the security staff my wife Kim and  importantly everyone who came to any of my events especially the dancers of which no venue can do without .many have moved on and some sadly have passed away... I won't forget any of you and truly thank you  for attending my venue over the years.

Stay safe and see you in the future wherever It may be..

Ktf

Hey mark , its such a shame to hear that you very reluctantly have decided to draw a line under ,what had become a routine trip from leeds , i had a really heartfelt connection to nuneaton having travelled back there to and from bretby all nighters in the late nineties, having a chance encounter of ritch and dave shaw at blackpool oul weekender cemented that bond with the town but my first invite was after meeting my brothers old legendary friend and mentor , weasel and his equally legendary lifelong partner Mary, at keele. The instant i entered that main room i recognised an energy and a lack of inhibition , no wallflowers  or reticent old timers, no  icy stares or peacock dance instructors, no pissheads or any other assorted chinnstrokers cravat wearers or strand or brand of uckeries. Honest to goodness, occasion revelling, party loving people, al enabled by yourself and your lovely wife , the never resting bedrock of staff and the many many names and treasures they brought and shared from that stage. Ive never had  cause to leave dissapointed or unfulfilled , albeit with seemingly further sight and hearing deterioration, due to remainingbtoo close to the speakers the whole night! So many others made equally committed travel plans from both sides of the pennines and from all the home counties too and wales, and scotland, youve done what any successful promoter habitually performs and thats hve a rotation system of guests and residents , who are standout characters and bring a distinctly personal taste which has kept everyone satisfied , the inverted snobs and whiney bitches like me, to really old bastards like stokesy( the only one ive met to scotch rumours of his demise, by ,well not dying!.  The regulars and proper dancers of the near right side of the stage, including tom , mark sammy dee (when i started going, lee, mark and his lovely wife deb, rache julie , mr vlad the impaler , mary his wife (i think there must be sixteen of em , all 3 d printed as that woman has never aged in the ten years ive witnessed, and names escaping me , youthful and flashing eyed , lythe , and luscious boys and girls who make looking across the dancefloor such a pleasure. Your not rid of us all yet , and when your disposed to plug the decks in again rest assured ill be there muttering bollocks , under ma breath from a slippery portion of dancefloor, having a beano  as usual. Thank you for your time and effort, money and dedication and choices. Love you both.

bless ya ktf
