Eddie Willis passed on 20th Aug 2018
One of the original Motown Funk Brothers died Monday (Aug. 20) at the age of 82
Willis was known for his parts on Motown classics such as The Temptations' "The Way You Do the Things You Do," The Supremes' "You Keep Me Hanging On," The Marvelettes' "Please Mr. Postman" and Stevie Wonder's "I Was Made to Love Her."

TCS Records was active from 1972-1988 with 24 7” singles, 15 LP’s and 6 12’’s, but there were a number smaller labels with a handful of releases. Several acts, including the The Tony Carter Singers, The Gabriel Hardeman Delegation and Dawkins New Sound Choir recorded their first singles for TCS Records at Virtue Studio’s on North Broad St. As a new label TCS Records had a steady output of secular sounding gospel music that didn’t always fit in with the more traditional Philadelphia gospel scene.
