Scorcher - Ska, 69 Reggae, Rocksteady, Soul & R&B on
This event is now over
Just a reminder for the 11th annual Scorcher bash, at Cobbs Bar, Birmingham - November 27th 2010.
The UK's longest running celebration of ska, soul, reggae, rocksteady and R&B complete with the Sounds and Pressure sound system, valves and all, and special guest, selector extraordina ire Sugar Merchant - if you've seen him at the Hideaway or the Margate bash this summer, you'll just how good he is.
The pub is open to the general public in the afternoon, The system will be set up in the afternoon, and playing at low volume. Many come in the afternoon to meet and chat, with a record bar and vintage clothes dealers - the pub is shut at 6, and re-opens for the private Scorcher do at 7.30.
IBIS and Paragon hotels just round the corner for cheap digs with plenty of free parking all round.
Probably one of the best nights of the year and genuinely not to be missed.Note: this is now a stripped down post-event display
