Goodness me it was packed , I reckon if there is one wheel people are going to do its the pre christmas one , from opening to 5.30 people were still waiting to get in , it was full to capacity , and what an atmosphere , there is nothing like it on a sunday afternoon.

As we stood in the queue chatting young people were getting off busses wondering what the hell these very smart older people were doing standing ourside this club with an air of soulful spirit ....was it a sale? was it over 50's x factor ? my god I wish I could package the excitement of yesterday.

And what is really brilliant is everyone is so nice , you never hear one grumble or scorn word from anyone come hell or high water they will still be stood there grinning from ear to ear.

One word Briliiant !

There were over 1,000 in on Sunday afternoon, what an atmosphere. I think the previous best was 840 an absolutally brilliant afternoon was had by all, this place is my soul heaven, the best on the planet(only my personal view) for me and long may it continue...... There is a lot of talk regarding the sale of the club and surrounding buildings, but although some of it may be true, like Pete says it is a long way from a done deal at this stage. So for those of us who love the Wheel, let's just keepon keeping on until Pete calls last orders.......

Pete Roberts live on radio every Wednesday 18.00 to 20.00 a Wheel lovers heaven....
