6TS and New Untouchables regret to inform that Maxine Brown will not be appearing at Le Beat Bespoke event at The Venue 229 Great Portland St on Easter Sunday 8th April.

Maxine is in hospital after errors with a routine operation, she is on the mend now and recovering in rehab, we wish her a speedy recovery and look forward to her magical live performances again in the near future.

The Crossfire Northern Soul Oldies all-nighter in the main ballroom will go ahead as normal with a live performance at 10pm from the excellent young Spanish soul outfit The Pepper Pots

and will no doubt include a couple of tributes to Maxine after their brilliant performance together at the Euro Ye Ye Festival in Spain last summer.

If anyone has bought tickets for the main purpose of seeing Maxine sing we will of course refund the full £15 ticket price. If you want to attend only the all-nighter from 11pm we can transfer your ticket across to Crossfire club night only and refund you the £3 difference.

The All Nighter runs from 11pm to 6am with DJâ"žÂ¢s Mick Smith, Mick H, Roger Stewart, Irish Greg and Ady Croasdell which is quite a line-up.

ALL REFUNDS OR TRANSFERS MUST BE DONE BY E-MAIL TO THE VENUE IN ADVANCE BY TUESDAY 3 APRIL (NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED ON THE DOOR)

Please accept our apologies if you have been inconvenienced,

Ady & Rob

Plug for another venue removed. If you want to plug your own event start a thread for it instead of piggybacking this event.

No Maxine, but we've got the clearance on the Spinners tracks I played at Lifeline and an equally walloping second side of theirs. It's not an oldie but Vintage Motown Spinners at their stompingest is gonna get a spin!

We had some friends down from Derbyshire and Yorkshire, I promised them a good night out and thanks to the soulful crew at Crossfire we all had a cracking night, thank you.

After some sleep I am realizing just how much my body is aching, no cycling for me tomorrow!!!
