Just a quick update:

As from our next event on July 28th, we will be moving the dealers out of the foyer and into the Charter Suite, we will be adding a deck and small sound system, this will allow dealers to profile their sales and clear the bottle neck we get in the foyer, anyone wanting tables in the 'Dealers Den' (thanks Dave for the name) please post up or pm me please.

Good news on Nolan Parker, as Nolan is doing a few shows and a lot of travelling from his base in the West Mids, we thought he would be on stage and away, but a couple of weeks ago Hitsville Chalky asked if we would mind if Nolan did a show the following day just up the road and as they are putting him in an hotel for a couple of days, it worked for us, as it now means he will spend a lot more time meeting and signing at the allnighter. so big thanks to them, a master stroke for Nolan and all those who wish to meet him.

Nolan will be on stage at midnight and will post the room times later.

Hi Chalky

Glad you can make it and like the idea. it also means when we have Nolan on stage we can lock the room and the dealers can enjoy the show knowing their boxes are safe and not unattended in the foyer.

Dave,

That's sorted for you.

Check out Uncle Tom's Cabin in Blackpool on 14July for a little taster of THE MAN in action, what a treat we have in store!!!

I'm assuming Nolan won't have Stone Foundation backing him - can anyone confirm?

Think the changes will work really well in Room 2....and looking forward to the new 'Dealers Den,' but I sort of pity all those record dealers trapped in that room with my big gob and smelly arse........

Hovering over my keypad about to type and I am pondering on writing about the loss of The Modern Room and I am trying to decide if this effected the dynamics of New Century Soul Manchester Allnighter

at Radcliffe? Well the answer is yes and no, this sounds like a cop out because both Chris and Marcelle are friends of mine and I missed the Modern Room terribly!

Not being a great lover of Main Rooms, that little room of Modern ticked all of my boxes and the quality line was just amazing, I will miss it but I have to concede and admit that often I was “Billy no mates dancing on my own at the later hours so I appreciate that it is a case of onwards and upwards, never the less........... I miss knowing that I can hear some of the music that I love.

Ok, shimf over, time to move on and give my impression of the night.

Radcliffe is with out a doubt one of the best Allnighters in the country, there are, for me five great Allnighters each with their own flavour and personality. Nighters always seam to enjoy their moment in the sun and most spiral into meat and potatoes losing favour for one reason or another.

Chris has decided to box clever, some might suggest it insanity to change the shape of such a well established Nighter and we are all a little scared of change.

The closure of the Modern Room found me, reluctantly, venturing into the RnB room, I have made many jibes about the RnB Cats over the years and Rodger took great delight in pointing out that I was in there dancing!

I no nothing of this music but my visit coincided with a pleasant blast of up tempo dance, I felt a little bit of a cheat and hoped that none of my friends had seen me venture onto that RnB floor but I kinda quickly got into the swing of things and had a good blast.

I will be back!

The Main Room was a seamless event, the sound system is tops and the dance floor immaculate. Man of the match in the Main Room was Mace, please don't tell him! The Allnighter Crowd was there, litmus test for any Allnighter and some thing not to be taken for granted, lots of friends, loads of satisfied punters and an esprit de corps that is very difficult to put into words, I feel very comfortable at Radcliffe, no strike that, I feel at home.

Nolan Porter came on in the Main Room and delighted every one, I liked the way he was presented without any hype or razzmatazz and this ensured the evening didn't hit any speed bumps as the dancers just enjoyed and continued impressed but not over faced.

I s it worth going back to Radcliffe? Yup, no question of that. It is a well tidy venue, mega floor, sensible security, easy access and a sense of occasion Radcliffe is for real!

Well done all involved.

Simon sums it up perfect for me saves me writing too lol....... ive never been able to catch up with so many familiar faces in one room since Middleton, for me some great underplayed oldies made the night and Sam's set was brilliant and appealed to me almost to a record......a great night long may it continue.

Not forgetting Mr. Nolan Porter,so good to see the man behind the records live.

One of the best nights yet at Radcliffe!!! Was'nt sure how it was going to pan out with the loss of the modern room but it was deffo a success. Well done to all involved. :hatsoff2:

The atmosphere was buzzing in both rooms from the moment we got there (10ish) till we left (5ish). Have to say was'nt really looking forward to hearing Nolan Porter as i'm not a massive fan of live acts and it tends to take away some of the atmosphere from the room. It did'nt, he was very good and just enough, did'nt 'go on' as some do! Thats just my opinion.

Best spot of the night for me was Paul Shirley in room 2!!! Not heard him much lately, but he never ceases to amaze me with the stuff he has in that record box. A very mixed bag from what i've heard him play before, he certainly needs to be on more often. It was great to see room 2 with a busy dance floor again. Also liked the guy on after him, think it was Paul Grant?? Also Bob in room 1.

Look forward to the next one.

BIG thumbs up on the 'Dealers Den' it worked a treat and most traders got to spin a few and that helped create a good almost record fair type atmosphere.

Bang on !

Yep the dealers did seem happy in the den. Some great sales stuff played in there as well

Thanks to Chris and Marcelle for an excellent night. Nolan was great and now look forward to Yvonne Vernee in September.

The reception everyone gave Nolan was fantastic, he must have been chuffed and it was good to see almost everyone there at the front to see him.

Couple of videos and a few photos of Nolan....

Most enjoyable night yet at Radcliffe.

A good, solid, no-nonsense all nighter that was still buzzing at the end.

Long may it continue !!
