What's the music policy in the 2nd room?

We like to call it a 'Free Style' room

it starts off with Sammy Dee, Ed DB, Steve Woomble and then a guest playing Modern, Nu soul, soulful house. then around 1am Soul Sam and Bob Hinsley are given the freedom to play what they want, then Sean Haydon and Chris Latham will give it a bit of the Burnley vibe

So looking forward to playing at one of my favourite nighters in the country tomorrow night. A real pleasure to be asked to DJ in the main room to help celebrate our Soul Sister Sara's 50th celebration :)

And the small room too! I love this room, where I shall be playing some of the coolest soul and soulful funk tunes on the planet.

Let's party!!

and a good night was had by all.
Started at the mod weekender at the Old Nags Head in town, which was brilliant, loads of mods on scooters parked between the Nags Head and Rising Sun, all the shoppers staring and taking photo's, Great music inside, and a great room with stalls selling vintage clothes, pictures, records etc..., loads of familiar old faces, loads of us old 80's revival mods there too, great to see Chalky, John and Joe again, old Cloud 9 and Berlin crew.
Steve Cato there holding the baby! whilst Lydia ran her stall.
Then a short stagger to a Dixie's chicken and back into the night do, then onto Radcliffe to dance all  night. And I did, and I'm paying for it with these old knees now. Reg made me drink more alcohol and stock piled it at 4am at Last Orders so we didn't stop drinking til 7am. Nice to see Killah! Phil, Nesta, Andy Dyson, Mick Lyons, Chris and Marcelle and to meet the lovely Billy from somewhere near Nuneaton I think? and the cheeky crazy Simon aka Imberman!
Roll on the next one

Only managed a couple of hours (due to me being a lightweight) but thoroughly enjoyed it

Good to see the place nice and busy and the sound in the main hall was good. Lots of people I'd not seen in ages (Mr & Mrs Duerden that means you lol) - made my night!

Radcliffe really 'hit the spot' on Saturday night. BIG crowd, full dancefloor and a busy 'Record Den' just the job, bang on.

See you there in September.

Dave.
