Looking forward to the first installment of 2013 for this excellent soul night. A great night of tunes to look forward to with top class DJ's, both residents and guests and a friendly and knowledgable crowd. I can't wait

Sorry Mick, don't think we are gonna make this one, Sue's in to her 3rd day of woman flu so she's dosed up with painkillers and generally feeling crap.

A good move to get Blake on board as a resident, a man with great music taste and Russ always does the business so gutted to be missing what should be a great night.

See you soon

Paul & Sue

A pity not more attend, I don't know what it is, the place is perfect, the people are sound, beers cheap & the music is bang on, it deserves more & needs a big push out into the limelight, we tempt everyone we know, maybe there's just to many venues I don't know, anyway loved the music, specially Russ but after 3 hours of Patto Prattle we'd had enough but we'll be back next time. :hatsoff2:

Your right there Spot..but we'll keep plugging away, great to see Mick and Mo there, as well as the usual crowd, big thanks to Russ and Ricky who both did fantastic sets, hope to see a few of you around..Mick.

Spot, maybe the fact that Bishopthorpe usually drops on the same week end as the Horse & Groom cannot help with attendances. People can't afford to do both or dont like doing two venues on the run. I know some people who do both venues and I've also done both aswell but everybody is not the same. Changing the date maybe the answer I'll put it to Mick this week when he comes over.

Bloody hell Tony we left there & went on to Driving Beat in Leeds, nearly every weekend we do a nighter plus a venue, must get it all crammed in while I can but I totally understand with fuel cost, drink prices and family commitments etc that it's getting harder & harder to go out twice, it's just a pity that something with a different & refreshing twist suffers but Oldies nights are full to bursting.:dash2:

Totally agree with you especially with the last statement. We did Friday night, Saturday night & Sunday day this week end but would not recommend it at our age!

Hope to be up at the Bish again soon.
