The Inner Circle Soul Club on

This event is now over

Part 4

We have the mighty Soul Sam at the helm plus with Miss Shing-a-ling Kim Fuller flying over from the US to join in the fun, along with George Mahood and Gumbo rounding things off. January was electric so hope to see you there again in February.

This all happens in an intimate cellar bar with a crisp clear sound system.

Hope to see some of you there again this month.

Indigo Bar Withington from 9pm till 2am

455 Wilmslow Road,

M20 4NW

Note: this is now a stripped down post-event display

....absolute storming night last month, packed dancefloor from beginning to end with smiling, happy and very sweaty dancers. Musically diverse, with the emphasis on quality...Funk to Rare Soul to Deep Disco, it all seems to fit at the Inner Circle and with the residents that we have, and the guests that we have, like this months Soul Sam and Kim Fuller, you know that quality is going to be very high indeed.

If you're in town for Betty Wright at Band on The Wall, its well worth a short cab ride down to Withington to see what the fuss is about!

Cant wait!

Likewise here, looking forward to it as ever. If anyone needs directions just ask here via PM and I am sure Dave or Phil will have some cards with the address on for anyone at Betty Wright prior.

...managed to make the last couple of hours and arrived already charged up after watching an amazing performance from Betty Wright at Band on The wall. Unfortunately managed to mss both of Gumbo and Kim's spots, (the dj' playing rotating half hour sets,) but reports were that I'd missed something special... walked down the stairs to instant atmosphere, with George Mahood on the decks and the dancefloor heaving...an incredible mix across genres from deep funk through super rare 70's with some amazing 80's thrown in as only George can . The gauntlet was well and truly thrown down to Sam who followed, but as you would expect he rose to the challenge, taking the music and the dancers into a frenzy, finishing with a spontaneous outpouring of Love, warmth, and affection that had to be seen to be believed...

The trajectory of this amazing little club is firmly on the up and it seems that the word is out with soul scene stalwarts like Tony Jackson, Will West, Paul Barker, Adam Leaver, Richie Penrith, Les Hare and Chas and Eileen Taylor all out on the floor among the youngsters who, though certainly not having the knowledge of these guys, know what good music sounds like, know what a good party is, and most of all know how to have a great time!!
