After a couple of quiet years, Getting Together is back! If you've been to one of our nights before, you'll know to expect a night of upbeat 60s Northern Soul - with a smattering of 70s, Motown, R'n'B and crossover - provided by our residents Ian Williams, Steve Harry and Rocker.
For the launch party at our new venue, we decided to book someone who has guested for us many times before, and is guaranteed to pack the dancefloor - DJ Dean, co-promoter of one of Bristol's best nights out Go Go Children, will be playing a dancefloor friendly set grounded in classic Northern and R'n'B.
Halo is a bar / restaurant, situated on the Gloucester Road, less than half a mile north of the arches. We can recommend the food. Our night is held in a separate function room with a bar, an outdoor smoking area, and of course a dancefloor. Parking is readily available outside the venue, and there's a regular bus service to / from the city centre 'til 11.45pm. It's a ten-minute walk from Montpelier railway station.
Entry is still a recession-busting £3, we'll be playing from 8pm 'til past midnight.
Since space is limited we recommend you get there early to guarantee admission!
We'll be spinning original soul vinyl. You'll be expected to dance!
