Soul Essence 31 on

Event Information

Troop;

Well it’s that time of the year when I let you all in on the runners & riders for this year’s edition of the legendary ‘Jim Wray Lounge’ and on Friday evening between 4pm & 8pm we pay homage to 4 seasoned collectors who quietly go about the business of amassing healthy collections of this great music of ours. Mike Charlton and his cohorts, Lofty, Tommo and Adam will without doubt entertain and educate you and increase your wants lists ten fold.

Once again on Saturday I have included lounge virgins alongside regular faces. We welcome the ‘Soul Hawk’ himself Steve Edgar, the Wakey Crew’s very own Moira and one of Spain’s finest, Jadd to the lounge for there first stint behind the decks, we also welcome back Flanny, Blake Helliwell, Dave Halsall, Alex Subinas and of course Fraser Dunne which all adds up to some simply stunning music, see you in there. Oh and I’ll be in the mix somewhere too.

Ok i've been hearing about this event for years and finally got a trip to UK when it's on. Can anybody tell me how I book for it - or is it fully booked out by now ?

TIA,

Denny

Whilst I kind of appreciate that an event like this doesn't need loads of pre and post amble on here, I do want to note that brilliant weekend was had by three of us from East Northants...

From the moment we arrived late Friday afternoon, immediately greeted by the beaming and rather casually dressed as usual Mr Goucher (thanks again for introducing us to this event last year, and to Len too of course), wasn't long before drinking started and I was lured to the record alley with pocket money quickly gone and two more trips to the cash point required over the weekend. I wasn't alone! :D

Plenty of heavenly soul we knew but a mind blowing amount that we didn't, so the notepads and memory banks were duly noted with many things to look up and chase down for years to come I'm sure.

Danced 'till 4am both mornings (well I did anyway!) and went home tired but very happy, talking about the same pilgrimage next Spring. Can't dwell too much about missing the first 29 of these events but we're on board now.

Well done and thanks to all involved. Until next April, with plenty of soul to be had in between.

Steve, John & Andy. :thumbsup:
