King Bee Rhythm And Blues Club on

Event Information

The third night of Sheffields The King Bee Club on Saturday 13th April sees resident DJ's Graham Wright, Joe Dutton (Gav Arno is fulfilling a long standing engagement on the other side of the Pennines) joined by Sheffield music legend Richard Hawley (We weren't expecting him back so soon but he's literally pestered the lives out of us for another spot) and the one and only Mr Allan Swires (from the AdLib club Lincoln) stalwart of the "Back to the Roots" scene who's guaranteed to keep the dancefloor buzzing.. Expect mid 50's Rhythm 'n' Blues, Early Club Soul, and a hint of Popcorn, Ska, latin jazz and Rock 'n' Roll.

The opening night was a sell out, and Mike Warburton has described the night as "quickly becoming one of the best clubs in the UK".

Situated upstairs in a fantastic real ale boozer "Shakespeares Ale House" music played 8.30 until 1.00

No live events, just the round black things....

Richard enjoyed playing his 45s so much that he pestered Lee the promoter for another go behind the decks... since Gav is away on a prior booking, it seemed to make sense to fill his spots with Richard.
