Hi John, would just like to congratulate you on the first all Nighter this month, what a fantastic night!! really looking forward to the next one. If I may offer a suggestion for another great DJ, Mr Bob Fletcher ( OF WILLINGTON SOUL CLUB.) living in Coalville.  regular DJ at many other soul venues, theres not much this man doesn't know about Northern soul, would be great to see him on!!  all the best Wayne & Marie.

John, a brief potted history of The Grand/Tiffanys. The Grand never had a decent PA system, so us Dj's that used to play there had our own mobile road show. I was resident at the Grand for the last 4 years until it closed, I used to Dj Fridays & Saturdays with All Wool Disco doing a Sunday Club. Fridays used to be live band night, some weeks local bands and other Fridays big name artists, I am proud to say I supported top soul names at the time, Sam&Dave, Jimmy James, Roy C to name a few. Saturdays was resident band night, either Ricky Thomson or Poulton's Pendulem. In the early 70's Mecca than bought the Grand and for 3 months before it closed just the Sunday Club remained open, when I and Dj Paul King took on the Sunday Club where we regularly got 800 people in playing mainly soul & Motown. Last Dj to play at the Grand was me. After it closed for the refurb to open as Tiffs I moved next door to the Engine pub, to play soul & Motown every Monday & Thursday. We were immediately shut down at the engine the week before Tiffs was due to open, you can guess why. Tiffs was a great place when it first opened, I marvelled that I didn't have to take my disco as they had their own turntables and fantastic sound and light system. There mistake was they insisted on smart dress only, no jeans, Coalville wasn't ready for that and attendances were down after the 1st few weeks, I moved on with my mobile show doing Weddings/parties and a regular soul night at the Town Hall in Ashby on Fridays. That's when the allnighters started at Tiffs, as I remember no local Dj's to Coalville were ever asked to Dj there, but now John we have an abundance of local soul Dj's around Coalville and I am pleased you have recognised that, see you soon Richard John

Great Story and background, i think its only fair to have the original dj's plus local ones to get this allnighter started we have some fantastic dj's like you guys from coaville, ibstock, hugglescote and ashby but not  only that we have swad, burton, Hinkley and leicester.

with all the fantastic feed back from all over the nation north and south i'm certain that we will but Tiffs back on the map. with over 400 people attending on the relaunch and just a few minor issues that have been sorted.

with the abundant smashing dj's we have we can't go wrong.
