Two amazing guests line up for Saturday, muchly excited for this one! Sat 22nd June, Dulcimer and its FREE IN as always!!

Phil Wainwright

One of Manchester’s deepest record collectors, with an ungodly hoard of northern, ‘70s and modern soul to funk, disco, house etc. Phil is old school and spent a fair bit of time buying in the States during the early ‘90s, but still collects with an undiminished zeal. Phil felt the urge to start Djing in the late 80’s on the Rare Soul Scene, leading to a debut on the All-nighter circuit for Guy Hennigan at Blackburn after being spotted spinning one Sunday night at Urmston Liberal Club. Since then he has spun at various nights, all nighters and bars over the years including the Blacklodge at Dry and other seedy Manchester nightspots, Beggsy’s legendary Congleton All nighters, Claremont in Edinburgh, Steam in Crewe, Temple of Convenience MCR (7 year residency), Bluu MCR, Soup Kitchen and more recently Dulcimer. It’s always fun to hear his sets because he’s a bit of a wild card and you never know what will make it to the turntables from his overstocked shelves of rare 45s, LPs & 12”s. Resident DJ at Inner Circle Soul Club in Manchester.

Alex Jones

Record Dealer, Collector and Rare Soul DJ extraordinaire. Alex used to part of the team that ran the legendary “out of the past” stall in Affleck’s. With regular trips to the US Alex has built up a vast collection of Rare Soul not to mention Ska, House and Techno! Alex is still a dj to be found at the upfront all-nighters and soul nights and is one of the scenes unsung hero’s. Alex was also part of the Blacklodge crew and has DJ’ed at numerous nighters and soul nights over the last 20 years. With a playlist of rare monsters, oldies and future in-demanders, well he was spinning John Harris and the Soul Sayers almost 20 years ago, his sets are not to be missed!
