Really looking forward to this one.  Not only as a celebration of our good friend Chris who takes another step towards retirement but also to see Martin Stanford in our big little Soul Club.  Martin is a true gentleman and has a collection of music that would grace any venue.  I think we are in for a splendid night.  Hollingwood is getting better and better, month on month. Every Month we see new faces popping along to see what the fuss is about. Why not pop along and see for yourselves, you are more than welcome XX

Really itching to get them discs spinning. A few from Cleethorpes, a few from the Mecca and a few underplayed sounds too. Gonna be a great night. on top of that, it's Chris's Big Birthday, so get on down and wish him well.

Just over a week away and it can't come soon enough. Gonna be a Soul Fest. Steve, Chris and myself making way for the leg end that is Martin Stanford.  Get in VERY EARLY if you want a front row seat because the Martin Stanford Fan Club will be there in force. Think there may be a gap in the market here for T-Shirt makers !!

Loving The Hollingwood and every Month we see new faces along with our regulars. Pop along and be part of The Hollingwood's future. We would love to see you XXX

Time for something a little different but not too different to be obscure.  Things you may have forgotton because its been so long since you last heard them.  Doesn't bring a Thousand Dollars just a Thousand Heart Beats.  Come on down and give us a try.  If you are on your way to Stoke we are only 45 minutes away, come and warm your old muscles up before hand.  Chris and myself will be joined by Steve Perkins and the Gentleman and Quality DJ that is Mr Martin Stanford.  We would love to see you Saturday night XX

A birthday candle in a pork pie ? Now that's very inventive ! Looking forward to seeing old friends (not as old as Coops though!) and new guests- if you're wanting to hear something a bit different from the norm? Hollingwood is the place x

Well its here first Saturday in the month, getting the glad rags, picnic for the trip over and pork pie ready. Chris sifting through knicker drawer looking for a couple of decent pairs to chuck at Mr Stanford (thanks for giving her the idea!)

Really looking forward to another saturday night of quality soul, not the usual tried and tested, but the stuff that set our senses racing back in the days before we had painful knees, hips and the rest... cant wait to hear what's on the menu tonight

Hollingwood we salute your music policy.

Martyn & Martini Chris! xxx

A really good night at The Hollingwood. One of the better attended yet with great music from start to finish. Steve Perkins started off proceedings with a classic mix of less heard 'proper' Northen from yesteryear: all tempos and sounds which some of us hadn't heard for quite a while. This is what Hollingwood is all about. Steve hasn't been behind the decks for the 40 years he's been into the scene and he defiantly didn't disappoint. Chris and Terry did their usual stuff and kept the crowd entertained with their spots of different sounds - no holds barred here! Our guest Martin Stanford; well what to say? A gent and a soul connoisseur who left us all wanting more! Overall a really good night Sharon X
