Unfortunately our 4th anniversary guest DJ Keith Minshull will not be able to be with us for this one due to unavoidable circumstances, so we have asked one of ours and we are sure yours favorite DJs on the scene to step in, Tot Johnson.

Tot always fills the floor whenever he works for us so we are very happy to have him help celebrate the start of our fifth year. Keith sends his apologies and assures us he will be with us later in the year.

I forgot to mention there is a free anniversary CD for the first 50 people in on the night, with tracks selected by myself , Moz and Chris representing the music style of the Northern Line.

Hi Peeps!

I have just seen the final track listing for the free Anniversary CD...I think you are in for a treat.  I won't spill the beans, but the 24 tracks we've chosen between us really do represent the essence of The Northen Line.  There's something for everyone and each track represents our committment to trying to give you the quality sounds you deserve.  I sincerely hope that you are as thrilled with this CD as we are!

Remember...the CD is free to the first 50 'through the doors' and as the entry fee is now £4.00 before 9.30pm (£5.00 after) then I strongly suggest that you aim to get in before 9.30pm as I can't see many (if any) CDs being left for later arrivals.

A masssive 'thank you' must go to Jon for helping us prepare and burn the CDs (and this is in addition to the thanks we owe him every month for helping us set the venue up and set out the chairs and tables).

Thank you to all of you for your support throughout 2013...we hope that we'll be seeing you in 2014.

Hi Peeps,

Your event is ready for you.

Room is set up.

Equipment is checked.

Free anniversary CDs are packed and ready for the first 50 through the door by way of thank you for your support and to encourage our supporters to take advantage of the reduced admission fee that applies up to 9.30pm when it's £4 entry (after 9.30pm it's back to the more usual £5).

The reduced entry fee prior to 9.30pm applies to the whole of 2014.  This course of action and the CDs are also a 'thank you' for those who support us 'early doors'.

Hope to see you later.

Wow - what a night!

A huge thank-you to all who attended and it was great to see the Alford Hall so busy, so early on in the evening.  With hindsight perhaps we should have had more CDs available as the first 50 were gone within the first hour or so (even with allocating 1 copy per couple).

We were genuinely thrilled that there was such a phenomenal turnout for our first event of 2014 especially given that many of us are still recovering from Christmas and trying to eek out what's left our December salaries before getting January's pay packet (or is it just me that's skint?).

The dancefloor started seeing some action from around 8.15 and from then on seemed to get busier and busier and busier.  Moz and John (as usual) seemed to read the mood perfectly with a mix of sounds that had feet-a-tapping, chins-a-rubbing and feet-a-dancing and just when people thought they might be able to take a breather Tot Johnson's superb set gave no respite and (imho) cranked the night up another gear.

It was great to see so many new faces this time around (and so many so early in the evening too) and with interest this high it augers well for the fact we'll be running the event every month in 2014.

Please remember, the £4.00 entry fee before 9.30pm wasn't a one-off or a gimmick.  That's the price this year (we revert to £5.00 after 9.30pm).

Once again, thank you to Tot Johnson and to all of you who attended for such as great night.  Your support is genuinely appreciated.

Hope to see you again next month on the 22nd February when our special guest DJ is Dolly from Bolton.
