MFSB feat Soul Sam, Yogi Haughton, Dennis Probert

Event Information

On February 1st M.F.S.B. welcomes a legend of the black music underground scene, none other than Soul Sam (what do you mean you have never heard of him). Those in the know recognise Soul Sam a an absolute demigod of of the underground music scene and a man with so many unique records and unknown rare tracks that he has been at the top of the soul scene's DJ elite for over 5 decades. His specialty his discovering never before heard tracks, tracks in the early days from the northern soul scene, then the moder

n soul scene and in later years the boogie and "funky northern" scene of which he is the mack daddy.

What makes this all the more interesting is that Soul Sam is 73 years old!! Recently he blew the roof of the Shrine Room at SSW3 and that is why he has been invited to play at M.F.S.B. His set literally made 18 and upwards DJ's ears blister and sit up and take notice after hearing him play, many for the first time. "Who is the old guy?" was the question on every young DJ's lips at SSW.

There is no big secret, there is no big records in the charts from Sam, there is no chance of hearing him at some trendy night at The Ministry Of Sound, this bloke is strictly underground and has been there doing it longer than most contemporary clubbers mums and dads have been on the planet!

Sam will be supported by Yogi Haughton and Dennis Probert on February 1st. Full monthly listings details below.
