A night of rare
underplayed 50s/60s sounds that helped give birth to the ORIGINAL soul/mod/r&b underground allnighter scene of the early to mid sixties.A night of STYLE-CULT-HISTORY.The Ad-Lib Club strive to be as authentic as possible to the golden era of the scene.Djs are invited to join our residents to give their "take" on the early scene.Early Soul,r&b,Hammond grooves,DooWop,Jamaican ska,Jamaican r&b.These are all part of our music policy with the cut off period being 1966.Two sets of decks in the lounge and main room set in this 1823 stone-walled cellar bar beneath Lord Beaumonts Manor House.Club land at its best in a warren of rooms.Rare film projected onto the cellar-bar walls add to the incredible atmosphere generated by the "in-crowd".All ages from all gendres and backgrounds.Residents Martin Greene,Trevor Quincey,Alan Swires,Christian Scott,Andrew and Eileen Vasey,Ben Sutton.
