king bee rhythm and blues club
Well our 1 year birthday bash is just a few weeks away. Can't believe it's almost a year since the nerve wracking launch of The King Bee. The first year has I can honestly say surpassed my wildest dreams. I've met the most wonderful people who all share my passion for great music, partying, dancing, and looking sharp on a Saturday night. And that upstairs room at Shakespeares takes on a vibe and life of it's own on King Bee nights.
I'm really pleased to announce that two people who have been big supporters of the night have agreed to come back and help the party swing on February the 8th. Neither really need an introduction, so without further ado our two guest DJ's are Mace (Basement Boogaloo) and Martin Derby. Two of the finest DJ's and nicest blokes I know.
The usual dream team of Gav Arno, Joe Dutton and Graham Wright will be playing all the tunes that have with your support made the night one of the premier R'n'B nights in the land.
We'll have an anniversary cd for sale at the bargain price of 3 quid, Mace will have his usual amazing sales boxes with him, and there may well be a few other surprises along the way. Renown artist/graphic designer Mick Marston (http://www.thefutilevignette.com/ ) has said he will produce a limited edition top quality print of his King Bee logo for the incredible price of £30 if you're in need of artwork for your home
I'll post a few pictures up of the year as it progressed along with a selection of King Bee faves in the build up.
It's going to be a very special night, I hope you can make it.
