MASTERS OF SOUL 2ND ANNIVERSARY WITH DAVE RIPOLLES on
This event is now over
Finally!!! On Thurs 27th March @ SATAN"S CIRCUS, Wenlock & Essex 18- 26 Essex Rd, Islington, London.... 7.30pm till 2 AM ...it's time to celebrate 2 years of MASTERS OF SOUL!
Firstly, can we apologise for the lateness of our announcement, as many of you know we have been suffering that most common problem that Soul nights have ....Venue issues!! After moving to a different venue last month, we are back at our original home for this month's Easter 2nd Anniversary special.
We won't bore you with the details .... reluctant to cancel, we decided that no fun police are gonna spoil our party!
Last month, we had the great pleasure of not one but TWO fabulous guests as Leona was cheating on us in Chicago .... PAUL MCKAY and NEV GRIFFITHS joined the MOS team on the night. As anticipated , they both played some amazing biggies and plenty of fresh sounds for us to drool over…. it was c/up and tasty rarity heaven! A great night was had by all and we want to thank both of them for stepping into unfamiliar territory and flying the MOS flag so wonderfully!
So, to April! Celebrating TWO WHOLE YEARS of MOS we wanted to bring you something very special... So for the very FIRST time in the Smoke we bring you Mr DAVID RIPOLLES!!!! As hard to track down as some of his tunes, this is a major coup for the MOS gang and we can not wait to hear what he is going to play. Massive all over Europe and resident at the incredible Inner Circle in Manchester DAVID is an absolute gent and we are so happy he chose MOS as his London debut ...
DAVID will be joining Leona, Yann & Naoko playing crossover, underplayed 60's & 70's, funk, disco and whatever else they can rummage out of those wondrous record boxes!
Extra time is being played this month as we have the Bank Holiday GOOD FRIDAY the next day ....so no excuses ....no school next day ... we finish at 2AM!!! As usual, there will be lots of lovely, reasonably priced food on offer for you alongside some very nice brews and ales, so you can come straight from work and bring your dancing shoes in your bag.Note: this is now a stripped down post-event display
