Really looking forward to see this. Love the music policy, the area (spent 1st week of honey moon here.  The wife's uncle was in the Coldstream Guards so Berwick was close) and the promoter is not a bad chap either.  Will be a cultural as well as a soulful weekend.

KTF,

Jay

Jay , don't forget to pack your unreleased gem 'i've been thinking' - quite a buzz about it ....i'm sure one modern track won't go amiss...

Hi Brian and his wife and their soul loving entourage.

Andy B was right in that this is a gem of a soul night in a 60's style club venue.  I cannot recommend highly enough.  An awesome vibe is created with a brilliant sound system.

Thank you so much for the opportunity to play some of my tunes at Soul in The Basement up in lovely Berwick Upon Tweed.  Had a fabulous time and was well looked after by everyone.  And thanks to you all for (embarrassing me) applauding my own production - "I've Been Thinking".  It will be available shortly on a limited release on 7" vinyl.

Brilliant to meet Stan and hear his fabulous sets along with the gems from Brian himself.  Great to see so many young folk enjoying and dancing to the music. They seem to be aware that they are being treated to a great soul night and being exposed to wonderful tunes not everyone is getting a chance to hear on a regular basis.  The locals in Berwick also need applause because wherever I went they were so friendly and helpful. Keep it up guys and hope to be up again later in the year to see my good friend Dekka.
