Soul Nights @ Bridgwater on

Event Information

Second event this year, and we're raring to go again.

This line up is the usual adventurous mix of djs. Kev Such, the main man behind the brilliant Cream Cracker ; local lad and hugely underrated Mart Taylor from Gloucester.

And the return of the one and only Ginger Taylor who has supported us at S.N. @ B. from the early days.

And me too.

The usual mix. This is ALWAYS an across the board soul night, 100% original vinyl, and all the djs who come to S.N.@ B. are asked to play a few tunes that the attendees may not have heard before, or at least may not have heard for some time. That's because the attendees are knowledgeable soulies with wide open ears !

Saturday 13th June. 8pm till 1am. £6 otd.

Look forward to seeing you all again and giving it what for !

Thanks for all your support

Very kind of Mr and Mrs Lyster to invite me along to Bridgewater, and in such prestigeous company.

Am planning on picking Al ( drop short) Shaw up on the way down.  I attended Bridgewater early in the year, to get a feel for it, blooming marvelous.

Got a fair journey down, but it'll certainly be worth it.

Kind reagrds and see you all Saturday.

Bloody fantstic night.

Got to go along with Kev's comments.

The place was half full by 8pm [ the official start time ! ] and never ever let up from that point. Mart Taylor, as I said, hugely underrated , well he isn't any more. Now everyone knows how he can rock a dance floor with every tempo and loads of underplayed tunes.

Kev Such was no surprise at all, such an accomplished dj with 2 very very soulful sets. And Ginger was at the very top of his game ; a brilliant dj with some of the best and rarest tunes on the planet.

But as for the attendees and dancers - what a turnout. Lot's of new faces, some travelled from other countries, and a wonderful atmosphere and craic from the start to the finish.

Have a great summer, see you all in October [ Sat 31st ]. Guests Maz [ Oxford Soul Club ] , Carl Willingham, Maria Willingham.

Thanks for your support
