All set up and raring to go. DJ's are all confirmed.

At the request of the Masonic Management. The use of talc is ok but they have asked that it be used sparingly. Thankyou.

Lets get "Cream Crackered"

Great to see so many people at Cream Cracker last night.
Firstly a massive thanks to the Jacobs for being sparingly with the talc. The management at The Masonic were questioning the future use at Cream Cracker, or the hire charge was going to go up considerably. However we proved that we dont need to swathe the place with it. You see its all the little things that can threaten the continuence as well as the big things.
Anyway that besides didnt we have a belter last night? After our minor glitch in February, which is firmly behind us ( and me) we're still healthy.
The truth is I have always enjoyed promoting the Cream Cracker. The chance for me to bring together an eclectic group of 6 or 7 non resident DJ's under one roof 4 times a year from all over the country to provide 6 1/2 hours of complete escapism music to an eager group of people that can relive old memories, make new ones and have the hairs on the back of their necks stand up. Last nights guests complimented each other perfectly and flowed in my opinion from one set to another effortlessly, it always pays to do your homework. Since its inception The Cream Cracker has never attempted to be an "upfront" event etc... or a predominantly "Oldies" orientated night ( I dare say a large proportion of the tunes are "Oldies" to someone). Just simply 60's ( with a bit of 70's) Soul and RnB music, entirely at the dj's discretion within the advertised parameters, if you can dance to it, then play it. Marvelous to see so many still in attendance and dancing right up to the end, Next Cream Cracker is the 1st of August when it will be the 10th Anniversay. The guest lineup will be Andy Martin, Micheal Cooper, Al ( drop short) Al Shaw, Stephen Smiggy Smith, Nidge, Ian James and myself. An anniversay cd giveaway on the night also.
A huge thankyou to everyone who decided to chose to attend The Cream Cracker last night, I do hope your choice was justified. And as my Nan used to say "its what you make of it that matters"
