Looking forward to spending my birthday evening dancing to the tremendous tunes spun by Fitzy, Tony and Rob - cracking line-up for what will be a cracking evening of quality soul and Motown. Looking forward also to seeing everybody again - what a great crowd. Richard xxx

Getting into the mood already - really looking forward to seeing everybody again tonight (even if I don't say very much!) and to having a good old dance to some great tunes both on the excellent dance floor and in my little bit of corner! That's a hang-up from my Wigan Casino days, BTW!

I'll be there at 8 sharp, and in The Oxford (ex-Lockstone) pub shortly beforehand - should you arrive early and fancy some company! Richard xxx

I enjoyed myself, and so did everybody else, at this latest Stage One event. Fitzy, Tony and Rob all excelled themselves, with growing competitiveness between Fitzy and Rob for the funniest one-liner between spins (and yes, both - I do notice these and they are noted!). Tony is not only a regular 'punter' (and, if I may comment, a spectacular dancer) but is also becoming familiar behind the decks too; I for one hope that trend continues.

The Festival Inn, Trowell, next Saturday for more of the same; this is as traditional and established a northern soul venue as it is possible to get and a great development are the upcoming mini-Dayers.

Those that know me (which, to my shame, is not many) will know that I am very fussy about the venues I choose to go to (must have good wooden dance floors, good bar facilities, great crowd etc) and both Stage One and The Festival come up trumps on every count.

See you all Saturday next - Richard xxx
