Looking forward to this with 2 great guest DJs Ste Jones and Mike Walker .These guys were two of the original Viaduct club resident DJs and both have awesome record collections. They play to the floor as well so a great time is guaranteed for our regulars.

As a bonus we also have Bernie OBrien doing a spot as well, and of course Ben will be playing some of his favorite tune early on. If you haven't tried the Northern Line why not pop along you will definitely have a great night with some of the best tunes around getting played. Biff

Great night at the Alford Hall last night. Numbers were very health and the room was full of dancers.

What a way for young Ben to celebrate his 18th birthday, as at treat his got a full hour to play his tunes and didn't disappoint us well done Ben.

All our guest DJs Bernie O'Brien, Ste Jones and Mike walker played blinding spots keeping the floor full all night, thanks a lot lads. Highlight of the night for me though was 82 years young Sid from Swinton. When we arrived at 7:15 we say this guy patiently waiting to get in, we looked at him and said its a northern soul night are you at the right venue? Sure am he said I try to travel to as many as I can. The guy came in and never stopped dancing til 10:30 when we took him to Warrington Central to get the last train back to Manchester, I asked him if he enjoyed it and he quickly replied its was great but not enough spare "chicks" for him, but never mind there's always the Monaco next week. What a guy and a shining example to us all to enjoy life to the full.
Great to see all our regulars in full attendance and the Widnes crowd there as well. The next one is the 22nd of November with Carl Piper as our special guest and of course Moz will be back for that one.

Hi Folks,

Just a quick note to echo John's post.

What a night!  We were blown away by the support you gave us; not just in terms of the numbers in attendance, but also by the number of dancers we had on the floor from very early on and the extremely positive comments we received.

A Ben's Birthday Bonus was his inaugural 'full warm up hour' and he didn't disappoint!  Ben's passion for the music is obvious for all to see and hear and it's great to see his collection coming on in leaps and bounds every month.  Happy 18th for Wednesday Ben.

Sid from Swinton was a revelation @ 82 years old.  Trains and buses just to get to the venue...sat outside waiting for us to open the doors...dancing from the sound-check until he needed to get back to the station...and still chasing the ladies!  I'll have a pint of whatever Sid has been drinking!

Impressive sets were delivered to an appreciative audience by Bernie O'Brien (to cover Moz's absence - thanks for stepping in Bernie) and Ste Jones/Mike Walker who double decked between 10.30pm - 11.30pm as our main guests for the evening.  As ever out guests did us proud and I fully anticipate that we'll be asking you guys to 'headline' for us at some stage in 2015.

For old times' sake Dave Truscott and I double decked for around 1/2 an hour - it brought back many fond memories of our nearly 10 years at The Birchfield in Widnes.  We seemed to go down well and, if Dave's up for it, I'd be happy to double-deck again in the future.

Biff again wrapped up the evening with an hour of classics, requests and above all class!  Most people stayed until the end and the floor was as full at 1.00am as it was at 9.00pm and that's a testament to Biff's ability to tease a few more dances out of even the  most tired feet.  I take my hat off to you John - every set of yours is a winner!

As ever, thank you to you all for your support, for travelling and for dancing.  Without you there is no Northern Line and we're chuffed to bits that you choose to attend our venue when the calendar is as crowded as it is.  Hopefully we'll see you all on 22nd November when Carl Piper will be behind the wheels of steel.

Until next time...
