Hi all,
I'm sure most of you know that Nige Brown has decided to retire from DJ'ing for the foreseeable future.

This is purely his personal decision which should be respected.

Consequently he will NOT be appearing at Banbury.

However Sean Chapman has confirmed he will still do a rare and underplayed selection early in the evening before his prime time slot.

So it will still be a great night of soul music and “something for everyone” to help celebrate Banbury Soul Club's 12th Anniversary.

Hi everyone and welcome to the next Banbury Soul Club event of 2015.

BANBURY SOUL CLUB 12Th ANNIVERSARY

Saturday 14th November 2015

The Trades & Labour Club

32 West Bar Street

Banbury

Oxfordshire

OX16 9RR

Pay on the door is still only £5.00.

Free parking literally seconds away.

Well this is going to be a unique night for Banbury Soul Club.
Banbury Soul Club celebrates its 12th Anniversary.
A rare achievement in these days of a saturated market place.

As usual we continue with our policy of at least two guest DJ's, which helps keep the music fresh and exciting.
And to thank everyone who has supported us over the years we have managed to obtain the services of two of the top UK DJ’s.

By request and popular demand we welcome back Sean Chapman and Nige Brown.
Neither of our two guests should need any introduction.
Both are major league DJ’s in the UK and Europe.
From Prestatyn to the Kings Hall Stoke, to Spain and Torquay, and all points in-between.
They both consistently deliver what the dance floor requires and are constantly in demand up and down the country.
Both have played our club before and everyone who attended complimented them on their choice of sounds.
Perhaps both are best known for delivering stunning oldies sets and current nighter sounds.
But when given the opportunity Nige and Sean deliver a superb mix of rare and underplayed soul.
They have both agreed to do an “early doors” set of lesser known and rare sounds.
So not only will you be hearing what is expected of them to play, but earlier on you can hear what they can put together when they select from the rare side.
And trust me I’ve had the pleasure on more than one occasion listening to their rare and underplayed choices.
It really is an education.

In summary this genuinely will be a “something for everyone” night.
So make sure you come along and enjoy a superb night’s entertainment for only £5.
The guest DJ's will be supported by the Club residents, all long term collectors.
Charlie, Steve and Tom playing their own selections of danceable soul music to guarantee a brilliant night.

PLEASE NOTE - DUE TO H&S CONCERNS THE CLUB OWNERS HAVE INTRODUCED A TOTAL BAN ON THE USE OF TALC.
Please respect their policy.

Anyway we all hope to see you all on Saturday 14th November.

Admission is just £5.

Still going to be a brilliant night.  12th Anniversary - WOW !

I was still in in short trousers when this event started.  Not a pretty sight.

Why not have a party with us lot, you know you want to.

See you at "the GO-GO".

Cheers................               Tom.

Well folks, twelve years of Soul in Banbury!

Great to have Sean back again to celebrate our "12th Anniversary".  Always a popular DJ in Banbury.  (Shame about Nige, sure he will be back when he recharges his batteries a bit......)

Don't forget folks.  Large car park next to the venue and entrance is via side door by the car park.  Straight into the main Ballroom.

We are all very much looking forward to the night.  And seeing friends old and new.

Music policy - well Soul, Banbury Style!

See you on the night folks,

Keep it Soulful, keep it danceable,

Charlie Mc

ps. Oh, yes - Tuesday night.  We are all on Topsey Tuveys Radio Show.  Shades of Soul, 8.00 pm.  It's PureRhythmRadio.net

Thanks to all the organisers - 12 years, great achievement! Thanks also to Sean Chapman, great early set from "The Other Side of the Box" (a phrase my wife thought would be great for a series of paintings!), and spot on main set later.

Best

Sean (O'Sullivan)

Well a big 'thanks' to everybody who helped to celebrate 12 years of Soul @ Banbury!  And WHAT a brilliant turnout.  Thank you very much for your fabulous support on the night.

We all had a brilliant time..... And of course our Guest DJ on the night, no introduction needed, Mr Sean Chapman.  We gave  Sean two spots, the first spot 9-10 in which Sean played lots of lesser knowns, which everybody loved and danced too.  Us Resident DJ's myself, Tom and Steve fitted in the slots inbetween, as you do.  Sean then played the 11-12 spot, cracking out some big favourites, and a few not obvious favourites, which kept the floor happy all night.

All in all, we all had a great time.  Many thanks to everybody again who supported us, and many thanks to Sean.

Best wishes to Nige Brown, hope to see him in the future some time.

Keep it Soulful, keep it danceable,

Charlie Mc
